All boxers who have killed or seriously injured someone in the ring have looked like it seriously effected them and impacted on there style and there killer instinct.

One exception is kovalev. His taunting of cleverly after knocking him senseless was well a bit uncalled for

Him standing over silkahs motionless body roaring abuse at him was a bit crazy

His laughing at pascal when he was walking around like a drunken clown then rushing in to inflict more punishment

And now his mad at mohammedi for not fighting on after breaking the guys face.

He seems to be getting worse not better, I don't think he has any remorse at all, it's worrying

I don't want compassion, just a guy who's killed someone to maybe stop acting like a phycho who seems hell bent on doing it again.

In saying that his coldness is a huge selling point

Dude taunts his beaten up opponents, the crowd, throws insults at unconscious opponents, says Pascal has no heart because he wouldn't let him beat him up more, gets very irritated when asked about his man bag.

After his next fight they should troll him and ask him about his opinion on gender policy and the gender movement. The answer would be priceless.

I have been thinking the same thing. He is "must see" when he fights, but I'm pretty sure he is a phsycopath. That, combined with his skills and power, makes him a near perfect fighting machine. That being said, I'm not so sure he's a useful person outside of fighting.

If he's that bad, then why would he pay the fees for parents of the boxer he killed, to fly over and see their son in hospital and he prayed for the boxer too.

And go to the section named 'Death of Roman Simakov'

"In his 2011 fight against Roman Simakov, Kovalev knocked down his opponent in the sixth round and the fight was stopped one round later and Kovalev was awarded a TKO victory. Tragically, Simakov was taken to the hospital, where he lapsed into a coma and died three days later. Kovalev went to church with his wife Natalia to pray for Simakov while he was in a coma. He bought airline tickets for Simakov's parents to get from Kemerovo to Ekaterinburg where the fight was held. After Simakov died, Kovalev apologized to Simakov's parents and promised them the prize money from his next fight."

So his looking to do do serious damage to opponents still and when there seriously hurt already he is still mad when they give up because he want to inflict way more damage

But that's all ok because once his left them permanently injured or near death he will pay for there parents to see them in the hospital and might throw a bit of money there way for a funeral?

Look at eubank after he seriously injured Watson you could tell it really effected him and he never wanted to do anything like that again. you can tell eubank has a strong sense of morality, . However kovalev is the exact opposite and its very weird

Prior to the fight, I believe I heard something about Kovalev being "meaner that Sonny Liston in the ring, and meaner than Sugar Ray Robinson out". He does seem to posses a lot of the qualities of the fearsome Russian stereotype.

In the ring he is an animal, guys who get in the ring with him know fine well what they are stepping in for ....... certainly not to be tickeld and told how much they are loved. What i dont get is that people are happy and want tauntin before the fight ie press conf. "im gonna do this and that" people lap that up but when someone then backs it up its shock horror !

Guy gets fired up in the ring ... shocker !

This. Plus, who says all fighters who kill a man in the ring start acting like gentle lambs. Max Baer and Bob Fitzsimmons both killed two or three men in the ring and were beasts to the end. Sugar Ray Robinson didn't soften either. Don't take Emile Griffith for the standard of all boxers.

Reading a few of his longer interviews in the Russian press, he clearly does have a few screws loose.

That said, there is a bit of Jekkyl and Hide thing going on with him, he was very respectful to Hopkins for example and can say some thoughtful rational things once in a while.
