I would like to think, you're not serious... that it's somehow your job to make these silly predictions, in order to create controversy.
Ruddock has only a few wins over anyone resembling a quality opponent. He faced a few decent ones who were clearly past their prime. Langford has dozens of wins over the best fighters of his day. I'm surprised that people haven't seen Langford and don't seem to know of his accomplishments.
I rate Sam quite highly as an ATG, but resumes don't fight fights. This bout couldn't even be sanctioned today.
On the contrary Langford has many draws and losses and some to the same person, his resume is weak and his myth is blown sky high out of proportion,no amount of fights will change that,he would get owned by many guys today his own size let alone a 235 pound monster..the bout wouldn't get sanctioned because Ruddock would be charged with Murder for killing a 170 pounder weight classes below him.
Langford would come in at 202 pounds. Yes, Langford had losses and draws, but at his best he managed to beat a lot of good fighters, some of them weighed 210, 220 or more.
I said 202. He scored some good wins at 200+ pounds. He beat some men who were 220 - 230. I don't know his height, some say 5'8, some say 5'7, some say 5'6. He was short, yes.
He was 185 most of his career and as low as 170.Regardless what he weighed he is not beating a 230 plus Ruddock its insane to think otherwise, when he barley handled guys his own size.
How does this one rank amongst the most surreal intergenerational matchup debates in the history of this forum?
IDK but im tempted to do a Conn Vs Klitchko match up and see just how many out of sync with reality posters are on here, that pick conn to win also since he out boxed a slow footed Louis at one time.:nut
I doubt you will find anybody here who picks Conn over Klitschko. With Sam Langford, it is seen as a whole different ball game, and you need to ask why?
I am deadly serious. I would even go as far as to say that Ruc**** would not be the best heavyweight Langford had beaten.
Rudduck would KO Langford when he wanted pretty easily. Aside from size it's a nightmare style for Langford, everytime Langford steps inside he sets up Rudducks hook/smash.
