Khan's infamous, rather than famous. People know of him, but don't like him. You tune in to watch Khan as you know he has a china chin and could go at any moment, but people don't want to actually spend hard-earned money to see the guy.

True popularity isn't defined by how many people watch him to see him get knocked out, it's defined by the sort of crowds the likes of a Hatton could get to follow him half-way across the worlds.

Being good for TV ratings and being popular are two different things.

Tyson Fury is another prime example of the above.

He still has decent names on his resume since the Maidana fight.

Still, compare him to Kell Brook who has ONE decent name in a 11 year career.

    Say it all.

Ding ding ding ding ding! There we have it the first poster on this thread to pull an excuse straight out of the khan fanboy book, Brook is offering khan to get in the ring with him, khan is saying no, so who they've fought before is irrelevant as Khan will NOT get in the ring with him regardless

That one decent name is better than anything Khan has done in his career.

Khan doesn't even hold a belt at 147, he's deffo not a top 5 WW right now he needs to work his way up and challenge Thurman or Brook for a title shot.

Why does it matter what kell brook has done in his career. It's irrelevant, the debate is about amir khan.

Brook has a better win at WW then Khan.
Khan has better wins overall across the divsions

I will be staggered if Khan and Brook don't meet, there is too much money to be made. So everyone chill, it will happen

And the excuse will be if I were a little younger I would have won

Khan bangs on about his speed and it is diminishing the longer its left the more it suits kell and the easier it will be

Would Amir ever get in the ring with Porter, that fight is surely there for him after Porters win against Broner

Nobody can really dispute Khan has some very good fighters on his record. I'm not that petty or bitter to try and deny that.

But what Brook does or has done shouldn't be a measuring stick for Khans current career or career moves should it?

To me it's the same as saying "my team lost 3-0 but our rivals lost 4-0 so it's all good", it's a ridiculous, it's about the what Khan is saying, claiming and doing now.

Explain this to me, If I mention Prescott, Peterson and Garcia I'm told by Khan supporters "stop dragging up history".

Then if I mention the total lack of quality top 10 opposition over the last 3 years I'm told to look at Khans entire resume, going back a lot further than say 3 years.

You can't have it both ways, you can't just pick out pieces of Khans career that fit your argument and ignore the difficult to explain parts.

Khan has shot his mouth off for two years, called Mayweather a coward, dismissed Brook and a list of other top welterweights and his best win in that time is Devon Alexander, A fighter Porter had already beaten, incase you forgot Brook beat Porter, so that puts Khans best win in over 3 years in to some sort of perspective in my opinion.

What I want to see is Khan back his boasts or at least try to attempt to, if he does it's great for Khan, his fans and British boxing and I will be the first to congratulate and praise him.

I do not think it's too much to ask, if you talk the talk then you better be able to walk the walk or at the very least try to.

As khan is talking about pacquiao now I honestly feel his career over next 12 months is gonna be exactly the same as before with the way he chased Floyd.

He will definitely not fight any big puncher. With arum now talking up the fight, amir will take risks what so ever.

It's gonna be Robert Guerrero next..

His resume is as good as anybody else in the Mayweather sweepstakes so we can't just rip Khan for not fighting anybody decent lately.

Better than Garcia? Did he get extra credit for smashing his chin onto Garcia's left fist and PPV status for the ensuing chicken dance?
