Does Anthony Joshua have a Glass Jaw?

If you watch the fights with Dillian Whyte and the Nistor fight it seemed to be more of a balance issue and there is the fact that both of the fighters had more experience than Anthony Joshua did. I know it was Dillian's first amateur boxing fight but he was a well respected K1 fighter with lots of fights under his belt and Anthony Joshua was only in his 4/5th bout. Different sports i know but the fact you get into a ring 1 on 1 means that there is defo experience of handling the pressure etc.

At heavyweight every fighter can be 1 punch away from being ko'd and with guys that big i think it could be unfair to say they have glass jaws unless they get ko'd with glancing shots etc

 

We don't really know with AJ because he hasn't really been tested in the pro ranks

 

How do you judge if someone has a glass jaw then? If it isn't because they have been ko'd then how do we measure it? How much times they have been dropped?

 

Time will tell. So far, it doesn't look nearly as fragile as Wilder's. In fact, I would pick Joshua to starch that fraud if they fought right now.

 

Just because a Heavyweight Boxer gets knocked down doesn't mean they've got a glass jaw

Fact is the weight of the big guys now means if one of them connects with a meaningful punch then you actually need a granite jaw not to go down

I've seen all of the following go down at least once and I wouldn't consider any of them to have a glass jaw

Clearly if Price went down 18 times as an amateur then that explains he has got a glass jaw and has proved it since

I think glass jaws though are far more relevant in the lower weights where someone 9 stone shouldn't be getting knocked down by others 9 stone unless it's a great punch

Re Joshua maybe having a stamina issue because of being muscle bound. I'm not sure. I think he is extremely efficient as a boxer and doesn't use much energy as a result. Very simple straight arm style most of the time.

Now to finish off the glass jaw debate and stamina debate due to being muscle bound. If Frank Bruno can win world titles going 12 rounds with his physique and lack of ability and lack of granite chin then Joshua certainly can

He's twice as impressive to me as Bruno was.

Also one of the Klitchkos (I always get them mixed up - he's got knocked down a few times and never stopped him winning titles)

Joshua will be world champ a few times over I think

Opposition is getting very old or is weak anyway
