Like Larry Holmes (48-0), Floyd is approaching record. Fight like Floyd.

Well Floyd, is approaching the 49-0, mark and is heavily favorite. As long as Floyd fight like Floyd he wins hands down. Hopefully, Floyd puts on master show as usual and get the win.If this fight is near competitive maybe just maybe corruption may follow. Holmes, was also 48-0 when he face Micheal Spinks. the fight was close and Holmes got robbed ( twice in reality). Waiting for the fight myself :bbb.

That would be great if they stiffed Floyd on a decision and he went off on a Holmes like rant

Michalcewski was 48-0 before Gonzalez and he was admittedly aiming at Marciano's record.

I would laugh my *ss off if somehow Berto landed a lucky shot...

to be fair, larry was looking at getting beat around this mark anyway, Floyd doesn't look like it. lets not forget moneys age too.

much as I dislike the man, you gotta give his skills credit.

Roman Gonzalez will soon eclipse all in that regard. Like it matters though, nobody is getting near Chavez's record

But the point is to have an UNDEFEATED record at retirement with more than 49 fights.

Might be my belief in 'black magic', as Mad*****ter put it, but I feel Floyd will not retire undefeated. Still, I expect his defeat to come from no. 50.

This is something I've been saying since before the Canelo fight...they've been trying to rob Mayweather for a while now. All they need is a good reason and a closer-than-usual type of fight.

I think Floyd will retire undefeated, only to emerge from retirement again and lose. I think of Gonzalez can beat Inoue and stays around the realms of Flyweight he could easily go to as high as 60-0.

In hindsight it really is crazy that John elected to face a legit young bad ass like Vetyeka for his stab at #49.

The guy had just stopped Yordan, for Pete's sake!

Vetyeka (as far as his form when he fought John) >>> Berto, now.

Yep. I've got big respect for Vetyeka. I'd still love to see Walters or Lomachenko face him.
