He could still make some noise, but he's getting on and its gonna be a long road back.

His career has been badly managed

Thank goodness hopefully its a decent opponent too last thing he needs it 3 or 4 tune up fights and more wasted time. He's top 10 quality, ish happens. Korobov vs N'Dam/Tureano/Heiland would be good fights for both involved.

Egor is fighting Jackson Junior which is a decent level and the same guy Prieto and Lepikhin beat before getting the Chilemba/Alvarez fights. Hope he takes a world class step up soon after.

Pryor Jr vs Hart some tall mofos, esp Pryor Jr. 6'4" at 168.
Korobov vs Rubio or Rosado. Make it happen.

  9. Korobov is the classic underachiever! Combine that with a very badly managed career, layoffs & injuries & it's a full house! Shame, because he was a truly outstanding amateur legend & with the right guidance, team & management could have been something special.. Probably underestimated Lee a little too! Should have been more focused..

Good stuff, I really hope Egor gets that step up soon, him being with Top Rank has me worried that he may be moved along at snail's pace in the like of Matvey Korobov who I kind of look at like a waste of talent now, he's a very fluid boxer and I hope he does manage to mount some sort of come back but I doubt he'll ever be elite, maybe not even a titlist.

Happy to hear that. The guy has unrealized potential.

Perhaps Korobov and Mekhontsev should pretend to be Mexican like Golovkin and Gradovich.
