Andrew Golota vs. Nicolai Valuev

I would go with Golota UD

 

This is one fight where i believe Golota might hold it together and eek out the victory.

 

Agree. Golota's too emotionally fragile, and Valuev is too iron chinned. Golota gets frustrated he can't hurt Valuev, and eventually freaks out late in the fight and loses by dq or retirement.

 

You just couldn't tell with this madman! He had all the tools to beat a guy like Valuev. If I had to guess I'd say he'd KO NV with uppercuts to the pips and gets disqualified.

 

Valuev wasn't aggressive enough to cause Andrew to have one of his freak outs. I think Golata out works him for the decision.

Golota was heavy handed and biggest weakness were slick fighters.He had a good chin and was huge himself at 6'4 240 pounds with a bigger reach than Bowe had,size really isn't relevant here,you have a skilled big man vs a huge average one....Golota punishes this walking 7'0 heavy bag and k.os him before round 12.

 

Golota gives him a beating, I don't think NV would give enough pushback to make Andrew lose his head so Golota should win handily.

 

Golota at 6-4 would be sacrificing about 8 or 9 inch in height, and about 70 to 80lbs in weight, And a lot more in mental strength, and he Can't handle pressure OR adversity to save his life..

Valuev wouldn't even be seriously hurt in this fight, he had a chin of stone, and would either win by KO in the mid rounds, or by DQ, when Andy decides to use the giants nuts as a speed bag, either way Valuev wins..

People seem to forget that fighting a man that much bigger than you tires you out a lot quicker..

I seriously doubt Golota would take the fight because he knows he would lose..

Golota had more than enough skills to box circles around Valuev, however with that being said he probably finds a way to lose unfortunately.

 

Yep. Remember that forgotten classic vs Yuri Elistratov and Toakipa Tasefa? That was display of skills for 12 rounds in both fights. And that jab, handspeed, footwork of Sugar Nick were impressive.

When was Golota able to dominate someone through 12 rounds? Never I'd say.

Golota outboxes him, Valuev didn’t implement his size enough to make Golota fold. Golota has the boxing ability to move around, keep Valuev off balance whilst keeping his own balance and lands counter right, jabs to the body to set up to set up combinations, then moves off, and predicts most of Valuev’s counters.
But gets robbed.

Speaking about robberies Golota could've been unified heavyweight champion if the judges weren't nutcases. He challenged for 3 out of 4 major championships consecutively.
