How many distractions and problems in Tysons life in 1990 led to the Douglas k.o

The Distractions for him were Douglas kicking his ass all over the ring, because Tyson had too much stupid in his life and was too ignorant to deal with it..

Evander Holyfield would have kicked his ass too back in 89, but Tyson chickened out from a rib injury..

Tyson folded up like a beach chair in the Summertime, when a tall Heavyweight with a hard jab who wasn't afraid of him, came ready to fight:lol:

Well it's not even hindsight when you say yes, distractions and problems were a factor. Those of us that remember the time were following it in the news. Everyone who followed boxing closely knew it was just a matter of time before he imploded. It was a car crash waiting to happen. In fact that was one of the things that did happen to him. You've got to give credit to Douglas though, he boxed a great fight and he had his own problems though of a different kind. I suppose it was still a bit of a surprise it happened against him, specially if you'd seen the Tony Tucker fight.

What about all the distractions in Buster Douglas's life at the time?

No doubt Douglas had distractions but it didn't show. Before that fight his own mental strength/heart had been questioned. I don't think Tyson lost because of his mental strength because he was obviously in that fight to win, no question about that. How do you measure how each fighters distractions affect them. Everyone is different each individual fella could be different from day to day. On another night an couple or so years earlier I think Tyson would of put Buster awa

Every famed heavyweight champion had the same type of distractions.

I wouldn't say all of them did. Joe Frazier seemed like a nice bloke.

He had the same type of distractions. I'm not saying they were not all nice blokes.

Frazier, famously, was out partying and touring with his band at the height of his fame !

Of course you don't understand the post, and I wouldn't expect you to, seeing as you look at the world through Tyson tinted specs.

I have news for you, EVERY heavyweight champ had distractions, they go with the job. Louis for instance liked to bang " chicks " as the Yanks call them, but he had the added pressure of hiding it because some were white. Ali would have his mistresses flown in to hotels as near as possible to his training camps. Holyfield had paternity suits flying left right and centre. The list goes on and on if you want to bother to research these things. But only Tyson has an endless queue of pathetic apologists.

As stated by others, the ONLY 2 distractions he had were a fukking brilliant left jab, and an even better uppercut. Unfortunately for him they both belonged to Douglas.:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
