Pretty interesting fight, old Floyd vs Tito. Tito doesn't cut the ring off well, but Floyds legs aren't what they used to be either.

Put a gun to my head and I'd pick Floyd by decision. Tito will bring a lot of pressure, but doesn't bring a lot of surprises, and Floyd has been training to avoid crisp but basic combinations in preperation for every fight ever.

I think Tito's punches, while thrown with great form, are too predictable for Floyd. He doesn't need many at this point, though.

Trinidad ran into the most trouble with he fought fighters who fought defensively. I'd like to see Tito in his prime face guys like Tim Bradley, Canelo, Marquez, Cotto I'd have to favor Trinidad against them all. But I think Floyd finds a way to beat em

Fighters outside of the heavyweight division in the 80's 90's and early 2000's seemed much taller on average, not as many stocky guys as today.

Not sure I agree with that. Certainly at 154 there's some big boys - Andrade is 6'1" and Martirosyan and the Charlo brothers are a hair under six feet.
Certainly the Super middleweights too. Benn, Eubank, Calzaghe, Toney and Jones Jr were all under six feet. Pretty much all the top ten now are over it.

Yeah, there were always plenty of 5'8/5'9 welterweights but it does seem like there were always a few more 6-footish guys high in the rankings back in the day.

I think Tito has a good chance of stopping Floyd had he fought the version that's active at the moment. Let's face it, the guy is 38 years old, his legs are fading, his hands are brittle, the stamina isnt what it used to be. He gets by using his skills and experience, but against a prime monster like Trinidad I doubt that would be enough. Take Floyd from a few years ago and its a different story, Ill take him to box Tito's ears off.

I seriously doubt that Floyd is the best fighter in the division at this point though.

He had good speed and decent boxing skills, always seemed to be befuddled by movement even in his prime. I dont see him matching up well with many of the greats and would be outboxed by most who had a good chin and great movement

I'd love to see him fight Marquez from a few years ago or Pac. I think Floyd would figure him out even at age 38. He'd take Khan out in a good fight. I need to see a little more of Brook, but that seems like it would be a fairly evenly matched fight.

    It's a tough one.

Floyd would have to move in and out, lateral dancing and ambush tactics.

A bit like he fought against Guerrero.

Tito would have moments of success but would they be enough to hurt Floyd, that's the question for me.

Floyd is a superior boxer to Tito but he has never faced as big a hitter as Tito aside from a past it Mosley and he couldn't pull the trigger.

I saw him comfortably beat a good but faded oscar who was like 15 pounds heavier. I also saw Oscar make Trinidad look like a fool.

I think Floyd's legs are fine. What makes you think that his stamina is fading? Old, almost 40 Floyd still operates on a higher level than Tito ever did. I think that he schools him worse than Oscar did for the first 7 rounds of their fight (but without fading like Oscar down the stretch).

Floyd has shades of Hopkins. People thought Hopkins was gonna lose to Tarver and Pavlik but he showed he could still go. He was even considered old when he fought Tito.
