(after watching an interview with John David Jackson) the problem with Cleverly is with his style he doesnt have the pop to discourage the better fighters. He had lots of praise for Clev about how intelligent a fighter he is with a great engine and varies his fights up well but doesnt hit hard enough to stop proper pressure fighters with strength. I quite likes Nathan not the most bubbly of personalities but quite like how he fights (when not in with Bellew!) and he aint a bad mouther (unless talking about Bellew again lol). Fair play to the big guy I hope he gets back on track.

Fonfara will KO him 'the ****ing rat'

The only thing Clev can do at light heavy is maybe win a European title and have a big all welsh clash With Maccirinelli.

Why is this such a popular choice? Fonfara has around a 50% KO rate so he ain't a KO artisit. Clev has only ever been on the floor against Kovalev who puts everybody down, so it's not like his mandible is shameful either.

Always considered him a decent boxer with good skill but not much in the way of power. As said above, certainly not enough to keep a top level fighter off of him. Think the Kova loss has done his confidence and he won't react to being hit by Fonfara very well

Fonfara defo has good power, most of his points wins were early on in his career, 13 of his last 15 wins were by KO

He dropped Stevenson and gave him a really tough fight, I'd expect him to win a rematch with Stevenson I think Fonfara is the 3rd best light heavy after Kovalev and Beterbiev.

Lol and you like to call people casuals on here....

Kovalev,Stevenson, Beterbiev, Fonfara, Hopkins, Braehmer, Pascal - there aint many divisions with a better top 7 than that....
Plus Mekhonstev, Gvozdyk - 2 elite prospects, Alvarez, Skoglund, Ooszthuisen, Shabranskyy, Browne, Cleverly, Maccirinelli, Kaladjzic,Vlasov, Bivol, Salamov,Bektemirov

light heavy is probably already the hardest division to win a win world title cause Kovalev has 3 of the belts and wants more, but with the amount if top prospects coming up in the division it'll get even harder

The way he talked after the Kovalev fight he sounded like he didn't want it any more. The best he can hope for is a couple of good pay days then call it a day. If he loses in a bad way against Fonfara, I reckon he should call time on it. He has a Mathematics degree, has loads of options and doesn't need to box.
