TJ maxx is covering his backside by making sure he wins both ways, if it gets low numbers it's because Pacquiao, even though it will have low numbers because it's Berto. His previous numbers throughout his career are only high because Pacquiao. If he fights Khan or Cotto2 and the numbers are high he'll say because everybody wants a Pacquiao rematch and are interested again. No, Mayweather's numbers are higher against opponents people believe will beat him... it doesn't even make any sense that they're watching 'to see if someone will get to him before Pacquiao does', you're just childishly trying to say Pacquiao has won a moral victory by Floyd's lower PPV numbers!

Berto is not a popular fighter nor can he be conveyed as a threat. Khan would sell a lot because he's popular, people would watch it regardless of Pacquiao being beat easily. Mayweather has a wrestler-like Money persona to attract casual fans and annoy people so he sells more PPV's and also because he keeps winning, not because he was sponging off Pacquiao's name. Fighting Berto is never going to sell a lot of PPV's when he's just fought 5 fights back to back, with Guerrero he'd had a year break and had fought once a year before that. Pacquiao for example had low PPV numbers against Rios, Bradley and Algieri because they weren't as popular as Marquez, Margarito, Hatton etc, not because he got KTFO by Marquez.
edit- Actually Bradley did pretty good numbers, because there was controversy from the first fight, so your reasoning of 'fighters gets beat = nobody wants to watch him fight' doesn't work here either.

For example, if he fought Maidana now and Pacquiao for his 3rd SHO fight, the same amount of people would watch Maidana vs Mayweather because let's say he'd just beat Broner this year, they would see him as a new threat and have forgotten about Pacquiao being a threat.

Casual fans never heard of Francis, Williams, McBride, Nielsen and Savarese either, yet how many tuned in to watch them fight Tyson back when social media hype didn't even exist?. It's all about the big name fighter when it comes to casuals.

Well.....there was actually a hype around Tyson especially because of his style which is not the case with Mayweather. The Mayweather-Pacquiao fiasco will certainly not help the PPV buys for the Berto fight.

Tyson's name alone spelled excitement. People watched Tyson to see him take people apart. Most people Watch Mayweather hoping to see him lose, and Berto can not make that happen.

4 million is a gift for a no name to go get beat by decision.

FLoyd didn't try and make the pac fight interesting. It's his style. ANybody who watches boxing knows he as boring as **** to watch. He was even worse with pac tho. He hugged and ran the entire fight.
