Maidana humbling Broner was beyond hilarious. Got that **** captured on 4.55 GBs of glorious quality HD on my external hard drive. Broner literally looked like an eight year old boy whose daddy had just pulled his pants down in front of his girl and all his friends and gone to town on his ass with his leather belt as he was being escorted back to his dressing room.

Made all the more sweeter because I have a bit of a thing for Argentine fighters.

So do I.:yep They may actually rival the thing I have for EE guys.

 

I'm not even sure why it is. I think it has something to do with watching granite-jawed Jorge Castro take an absolute hammering from John David Jackson for 8 and a half rounds when I was younger and then pull it out of the fire with a dramatic KO when he was on the verge of being stopped. I think that and seeing a few other teak-tough Argentine fighters back then must've made a big impression on me. It was the same with Mexican fighters I watched back then too. I remember seeing quite a few fights back then involving tough as nails Mexicans with dozen of loses on their records pulling off upset wins against undefeated or heavily favoured prospects or even champions.

I also like the colours of the Argentine flag, which many Argentine fighters often incorporate into their ring attire. Excellent colour clash awareness. Simple and not very adventurous but very effective.

 

They are tough as hell rugged walking personifications of teak tough, no matter how many times they get knocked down they get back up and keep coming, what's not to like, they are always a tough out for anybody like Bonavena against Frazier, who should have got the decision in that match. I also love the music, the people, the food, the Pampas the Patagonian Andes, everything Argentine, even Che Guevara.:yep

 

Yes me too. You'd like it even more over there seeing how you like your meat. They consume epic amounts of meat over there. I remember seeing a documentary about Argentina once and the amount of meat they crammed onto their plates was frightening. I'm talking enough on one plate to feed a lion. lol

 

I know..... they have meat festivals that look like Vlad Tepes' Forest of the Impaled.:rofl Its beautiful.
