I'm not a very big Maidana guy, so you're not getting anywhere with me as far as that argument goes, and I've always thought his power is overrated, but if Provo could drop Bradley and hurt Matthysse, believe me he can hurt the guy that was rocked by goddamn Chris Algieri.
You speak about the knockdown like it was some freak trip. Maidana was lucky the 1st round wasnt 10 seconds longer.
My point is simple. Lots here said Khan wasnt going 12 rounds with Maidana. The usual nonsense of "Hes going to decapitate Con" "I fear for Amirs safety" and all the other nonsense that this site spews up. You're going to hear EXACTLY the same things if this fight gets made from the exact same guys
Looking at how the rest of the fight played out I doubt 10 secs would do anything, Marquez got knockdown 3 times in a rd but won 9-3 to earn a draw in JMM-Pac I. The point being Maidana really beat Khans ass after the 1st rd.
Maidana was in serious trouble at the end of the round, he was in serious discomfort getting back to the corner. Another nice shot to that floating rib and the ref could have counted to 20.
If Khan wins are you going to say Provo is rubbish? :think Rather than giving Khan credit for beating Alexander who you picked to KO him, it was because Alexander was rubbish, rather than Khan better than you give him credit for? :think
But that is taking into account you give every single round Khan didn't dominate from first to last bell to Algieri. Scored through unbiased eyes no way was that fight anything other than a Khan win. So if you are wrong with your prediction in the fight, will it be Provodnikov you was wrong about or Khan?
Are you saying that both IntentionalButt and I were wrong because we had the same score.:deal And if I'm wrong it'll be because Khan holds and fouls his way through the fight which is a distinct possibility but unlikely one, Ruslan will catch him eventually and he'll go down.
This man's guts have never been in question, it's his brain that worries me and the damage that may be done to it with this fight... there's literally nothing to gain here except once again seeking to prove he can take a punch... he can take a punch but sometimes he can't... that's it, no shame.
