Anyone resenting the hype Joshua receives?

No, boxing needs guys like Joshua to bring the casual viewers to the sport. It's not about whether he is a hype job or the real deal, we need guys like Joshua in the sport. If Joshua becomes HW champion, then it is a positive for the sport imo.

 

The hype is starting to get on my tits, 14 fights into his career he needs to step up now.

 

He walked off like a bored man when he decked Cornish.

I'm just worried that AJ might just listen to Eddie and decide not to challenge himself and just milk it.

I think Povetkin, who everyone keeps saying AJ will hammer, flattens him. And he'd do it easy, too.

World class as a pro and an amateur.

 

Personally the only thing that ****es me off about Joshua is people like you.

We've got a guy on our hands who could potentially transcend the sport, bring in new fans, increase interest etc etc and all you can do is constantly talk him down.

He's 14-0, with 14 straight KO's, is moving up slowly in class, an Olympic champ and fights in the most glamorous division that we have.

Would you rather there was no hype, no enjoyment, no excitement? Stick him on a Friday night card in York Hall with no coverage?

Wlad and Joshua are the same height, I believe? Did you see Wlad - Povetkin? Wlad handled him like a rag doll. The strength and height advantage were massive. Now I know they have different styles, but I fail to see how you can say he'd "easily flatten" Joshua.

 

I Havn't heard anyone say that Joshua will hammer Povetkin, I will say this though, come December 12th Joshua WILL hammer Dillian Whyte.

The only one who can beat him is Wlad and he is too old now.

You can see that he has adopted a few things from Wlad as well

 

The thing is he's not hyping himself, it's everyone around him but he's the one getting the hate for it and why he has so many haters who'd love to see him KO'd. But haters = £££ so I'm sure he doesn't mind.

 

There isn't a fighter in the world who has taken on fighters that have ALWAYS been progressively better than their last opponent.

Why Joshua has to be the first is beyond me.

If that carpenter bum cornish had a decent chin he'd have caused serious problems for Oluwafemi Olaseni, as before he got knocked down he was outboxing your hero

 

Lol out boxing him for 50 seconds until he was countered & dropped? Cornish landed what one punch? Joshua was waiting for the counter & Cornish handed it to him 50 seconds into the fight. The entrance was a bit cringey though can't argue with that.
