he did bring Bute when he was champ to the Uk, but yeah your right.. it;'s about time there was some big fights in the Uk involving Uk fighters versus top international known fighters

would be great if he could make some fights like this in the UK...

    Bellew vs Lebedev
    Brook vs Pacqauio/Thurman/Bradley
    Selby vs Lomachenko/Walters/Russell Jnr
    Degale vs Ward/Abraham
    Quigg vs Donaire
    Cleverly vs Braehmer

Bit harsh on Hearn I think, yes some of his cards have been ****e, but miles better than what fish eyes is doing.
    An he pays his fighters!!!
But yer deffo agree with the shout of bringing international stars to fight in the uk, he has been poor there like.
Brook should be easy to bring a name over, now Degale an McDonnell also.
Think he has been guilty of bumming Froch an Barker, they are history now, step it up.

Beachie isn't going to like this thread one bit...

He'll tell you that you are getting value for money and Hearn has been an asset to boxing

    I agree.

Those fights you listed though are pipe dreams. Never going to happen.

Ok so what is being said here is that he hasnt been making the biggest fights we all want to see and I agree 100% with that. Im in the same camp.

However what your also saying is that if your average, he will make still possibly make you a millionaire from not too difficult fights and then get you a world title shot. But if you have the ability he will defo make you a milllionaire with the easiset work possible. Sorry but to me that sounds like a great promotor (from the boxers point of view) defo not the fans but the boxers will lopve that !

In summary for the fans and the sport its not helping it progress and grow but for the boxers he is a dream come true.

If someone came up to me in my job and said i can make you more money for doing less ...... who wouldnt take that offer up ?!

What's good for boxers isn't necessarily good for fans.

    Simple as that.

the next couple of fight nights they actually seem to have some competitive fights with gavin vs eggington and rocky vs c smith not mismatches.

Brook should easily beat chavez but its an improvement on jojo dan and gavin etc.

Crolla is having a rematch vs perez which should be another close fight and hopefully quigg will get the donaire fight.

So far this year the matchmaking has been pretty poor from eddie, but this seems a general trend in boxing where everyone seems to play it safe.

Are some fans to blame here too? as soon as someone loses their derided heavily as a bum and written off as a hype job in part this attitude has influenced all promoters to play safe unless its a world title fight or an eliminator.

I think the Quigg vs Donaire fight is a pipedream.Fast Car can't afford an elite fighter's purse demands to travel over to the UK.It is a smoke screen.Eddie's a master at the old "bait and switch".

at no point did i say it was good for boxing fans in fact i made it quite clear that I was saying what he does is fantastic for his fighters.
