If Koasicha is the best opponent that Arum can get, it doesn't speak volumes about him as a promoter. I think Lomachenko would be better off signing with Haymon.

I believe that early title fights was a condition for Loma signing with him. Arum had to arrange those fights.

For getting Rigo, Santa Cruz, Selby, Arum needs to show enough money, but he is too greedy for that.

It was intended to be, originally. Both the WBC and WBA thankfully refused to sanction it and told Haymon/Garcia to screw...which is when it became a catchweight fight.

 

Rigo is not a feather and Loma is not willing to come down 122 lbs.

I thought it was originally and always announced as a 142 lb. fight when signed.

Rod was #36 in the WBC, lower I believe in the WBA, 77th at lightweight on Boxrec when Garcia picked him from the cherry bowl. :-(
