I agree that Barry is a stumbling block but Eddie has handled this all wrong but seeing as you're Matchroom's ESB cheerleader you'll ignore anything fast car does.

After meeting and speaking to Jason Booth yesterday he has convicned me there is only one winner in this fight, and that is Scott Quigg.

Munyai is an absoloute beast also and Quigg wrecked him

Barney Eastwood did a real number on McGuigan and I think McGuigan does not want Frampton eaten up in the same way.

Which is fair but he should advise and not control.

I always put this fight not happening down to Barry but I think questions need to be asked of Frampton himself. I will tell you why, Barry and the other McGuigans work for Carl, not the other way round. So if he wants a fight he has the power to instruct them to accept offers on his behalf.

Frampton has never satisfactorally explained why he refuses the offer(s) to fight Quigg. For his own sake - and his fans - he needs to get a move on. He is wasting his prime in inactivity, and surely his last fight will have taught him just how precarions the position of a top pro is in this game. Anything can happen to himself or Quigg at any time and scupper their big fight.
    Get a move on Carl!

Is there an industry anywhere where the company's involved do less to meet the demand of the public?! It's honestly not worth worrying about, it will happen when one or both have been beaten and people care less.

For the record Barry probably hates Eddie. The cheque fiasco was ridiculous and even an idiot would see that would inflame the situation. Also 50/50 is not going to happen as Frampton does have more fans and is a much bigger draw. I think it is foolish to suggest otherwise and Quigg should take 35-40% to make it happen.

Barry seems to be stuck in the 1980's... Build Carl up on ITV and american free to air channels. He'll book him on superstars next :/ lol

Seriously though McGuigan has a business model that resembles one from his days as a fighter. Times have changed. It sometimes seems as though McGuigan is trying to re-live his glory days through Carl. That is pure ego and ultimately could be very harmful for Carl.

50/50 is of course fair. Quigg's promoter is the one putting the money up. Either Frampton can take 50/50 of everything, £1.5m flat fee or 60/40 to the winner. He's declined all of it so far despite every single option paying him substantially more than he has ever previously been paid.

If Barry were the one making offers, it'd be different, but he isn't.

It is a lot of money but how many McGuigans does he have to pay before he sees any of it?

Its not the value of the fighters. Hence why Frampton has made alot more more in his career than Quigg.

It's a business. If Quigg's promoter is putting up the risk and offering a pay day far in excess of what Frampton ordinarily makes, then Frampton and his team have to make concessions.

While 50/50 will be worth more to both fighters than they have ever earned, Quigg will be the one who misses out more. Frampton has sold our arenas on his own and is with Haymon now so will be getting paid hansomely. Hearn does pay his fighters but not alot! At the end of the day Quigg doesn't shift bums and its as simple as that. I don't really see the big deal in Quigg taking 35-40%. He needs it more if you ask me.

Eddie said in the interview that he and Quigg "chose to eat humble pie" by making a renewed offer with a bigger split for Frampton - meaning MORE than 50-50 for him upfront. Again though rejected out of hand.

There's no rational or sensible business explanation for Frampton not taking the fight at this point. Perhaps he is worthy of a slightly bigger split but the way their recent fights panned out hardly aided that argument and Carl isn't going to make anywhere near as much fighting any other fighter. There's every chance that one of the pair will soon lose (Donaire's a tough fight) and at that point the chances of them ever making the same money, in any fight let alone one between them, will be gone probably for the rest of their careers.

Whether it's ego or fear though (and I believe it can only be one of the two or both) it just aint happening any time soon. I'm attributing those traits more to Barry than Carl btw....though Carl does need to take charge more.
