Im a big fan of both fighters as to me they personify what hte game is about , Dont get me wrong I admire the technical abilty of Floyd & he is without doubt the best "boxer" of my era but there is something in the approach of both Cotto & Marg that really appeals to me , I am from a rough old council estate & although I appreciate the purity of a technician there is something inside me that loves the "fight" element of boxing that boxers like the aforementioned bring..........
As for the result , although I really like Margs hammer & tongs approach , I would slightly favour Cotto as in his last few fights he has shown great boxing skills (Mosely especially) but we know he can take it to the trenches..................:good
Then again Miguel has shown he can be rattled (Judah) so this has the making of a real blood & guts special...........
Im a welshman & a world away from the 2 cultures in question but as a boxing fan who cant be looking forward to this as a potential classic....

Cotto's jab, speed, and superior footmovement will carry him through victory. Margarito has a chance w/ his relentless style, his high workrate, his ability to punch to the body with both hands, his right uppercut, and his chin.

The fact that Cotto is the superior boxer and has faster hands and feet will give him the overall edge.

I would just wish that Cotto elects to box and move rather than trade.

It is a true test of Cotto's will, chin, edurance, and heart ...

If he keeps the jab in Margarito's face then he's going to win easily ... Margarito is an straight up fighter who doesn't move his head or shoulders and doesn't use angles.

Wow I dont know but will be one of the better mega fights. If it goes the distance I think Cotto will win by a tad but if there is a KO I dont think it will be against Margarito

I agree that if it became a war that Margarito would have the edge, but I don't see this being a war.

i also love both fighters, both are my favorites. It is hard to pick one over the other but i think cotto wins if it goes the distance. Margo has a possibility of a knockout as we all knew about cotto's chin.

Margo is tough so i doubt it that cotto stops him but perhaps wear him down with body shots to a possible late TKO.

I like Cotto in this fight, he is faster, more skilled and has been in with better fighters.

I like Cotto and I hope he wins. Margarito to me fights like an amateur, he has horrible defense and swings his punches wildly. I don't even know how he has fans honestly. It's people like him and Kimbo Slice in MMA that make people think any hard hitting guy off the street can come in and dominate combat sports. Hopefully Cotto shows it actually takes skill to win in boxing.

Why would Cotto abandon his skills?

Margarito. Both can crack, but Antonio's got the better whiskers by a longshot. I look for him to stop Cotto in the later rounds.
