Barry has said repeatedly that Carl is the best SBW in the world; better than Rigo in fact.

Given that, what's the issue with taking the 60/40 on offer to the winner?

Ridiculous excuses from McGuigan as usual. Just admit you don't fancy it and everyone can move on.

    Whats good about it.

You think Frampton should get 60-40 on top of an additional £1.5 cheque , just to fight Quigg? Who is the favourite to win here?

Tell me , how much did Carl earn for his fight in Texas??

Neither Frampton nor Mcguigan have ever said '£1.5m plus 60-40 on top'. Their position (which I can link you to) has been consistent: 60-40 to Frampton and no less.

    As I said:

What's the issue with taking the 60/40 on offer to the winner? Especially as they consider him the best SBW in the world?

When was the last time world championship title fight purses were agreed in a deal like this? It is not a serious offer.

Frampton is the champion and Quigg is the would be challenger - this is not a unification fight. If Quigg positioned himself in the mandatory position then the split would be 75:25 to the champion under the IBF rules. As it stands, therefore, the 40% purse Frampton is offering represents 60% more than Quigg could ordinarily expect to receive.

But this isn't a typical World Championship fight.

Frampton is one half of a potentially massive domestic fight, that also happens to have a strap involved.

Frampton and his team can keep playing the superiority card, but he's earning peanuts without Quigg and Hearn.

As time goes by i'm beginning to think that this has nothing to do with money, and more to do with Frampton not having the stomach for it.

Ironic that Frampton and his advisors have spent the last two years slating Quigg for fighting bums, and whilst Quigg dismantles Framptons best win inside 4 minutes, Frampton goes to the ****hole of nowhere to fight an absolute nobody.

    You couldn't make it up.

Frampton is on record saying he wants half of what he believes to be a fight worth £12 million. Therefore he wants to be paid 6 million:nut

No matter what way you try to spin it , Quigg is not some ordinary challenger. He holds the regular WBA belt and is 1 of 4 title holders. Frampton just being another holder of a single portion of the title.

Carl Froch held the same belt after beating Kessler and nobody complained when he called himself a world champion.

Frampton and all his fanboi's suddenly decided to rubbish the title to deflect away from what is blatantly obvious.

Frampton truing down 50/50 on top of a £1.5 m cheque is an absolute disgrace.
The additional payment tipped the pot in Carls favour.

Quigg isn't earning that. He is taking a risk having his purse dependant of the PPV success. He doesn't care. He just wants to box. Which is a lot more than can be said about Frampton.

If he wants 60-40 or even 70- 30 - then invite Quigg over to Belfast on the Cylone PPV broadcast. Im sure Quigg would be delighted .

But Frampton has no broadcaster , no global promotional out fit. He brings nothing to the table , nor does he have many options outside Quigg.

Him and Barry want to milk that title as long as they can and want no part of a risky fight. You're either blind or are just not willing to accept it.

You saying it isn't a typical world title fight is asinine because you can't create parameters that suit your argument. The facts are that it would be a world title fight, for Frampton's belt and if Quigg was the mandatory challenger, he would only get 25% of the purse.

If Quigg wanted to force Frampton's hand, he always has the option to work his way into the IBF mandatory position. Why not go down this route? Alternatively, he could fight the real WBA champion, Rigo, annex the WBA super title and return to the table to seek a unification and the bigger slice of the pie that comes with it. Why not do that?

You could turn all those points around and use them against Quigg. Ergo, they are very poor points.

I'm a huge Frampton fan, and from the start I've felt he beats Quigg in an exciting fight with Frampton's superior boxing skills nicking the rounds for a close but clear points victory. But this is beyond a joke now, just fight the bloody man already!

All this A-side and B-side nonsense does my head in with fights like this. They both need each other to make it work, they both play an important role in paying each other life changing money. I'm not arguing for 50/50, but if I was an 'A-side' and I had to budge a little for the fight to come together I would

In no-one's language is that the same as saying '£1.5m plus 60-40 on top.' Also, Frampton did not say he wanted half of £12m. If you are going to fabricate and deliberately misquote then I'm not going to continue discussing matters with you any further.

Rigo is the WBA champion. Quigg is his mandatory.

Froch already held a legitimate strap in the IBF. Also, at the time, Ward was completely inactive. He hasn't defended his WBA super title since he fought Dawson on 08 Sept 2012.

If you want to recognise all three WBA world titles as being legitimate world titles then good for you. The vast, vast majority of the rest of us won't.

No, he didn't ask for £1.5m plus 60-40 and you saying it doesn't make it true. You had been given the opportunity to provide evidence to corroborate your assertion and have failed to do so. That is because it is not true.

He can force Frampton's hand by fighting his way into the IBF mandatory position. I note he hasn't or isn't attempting to do this

He is with Al Haymon, the most powerful boxing advisor in the world.

Eddie will be proud of you. Maybe you could tweet this at him and maybe he will make your year by retweeting it.

Quigg is not ranked in the top 3 of the IBF. Therefore, he would only get 15% of the purse, if the fight was made, sanctioned and went to a purse bid. The 60-40 on offer from Frampton is 166% more than the purse Quigg would otherwise be entitled to. If that's not budging, what is?

Quigg, Hearn, Frampton, McGuigan, etc, etc all realise that this is the biggest fight in the division, the fact that Framptons strap is on the line makes very little difference to the money split.

Frampton needs Quigg to make big bucks, then again he can always carry on fighting in Belfast and/or the States and earning peanuts.

Why would Quigg go to the trouble of forcing himself into a mandatory position, wasting more time, and risking a banana skin, and then fighting for 25% of the purse, what sort of sense would that make ?

As for Quigg fighting Rigo, why doesn't Frampton fight Rigo ? I'll tell you why, because Rigo beats the pair of them, and brings no money to the table.

The points i made are completely relevant, especially so considering the argument wee Barry has used constantly to rubbish Quigg.

At present any momentum is with Quigg.

Quigg fought and beat Martinez, whilst Frampton fought Avalos and Gonzalez.

Frampton and his team bring no money to the table, whilst Hearn is offering Frampton a payday he can only dream of without Quigg.

Is Frampton concerned about whether he can back up his talk, or is he just being badly advised by his team ?

    Frampton fans are amazing.

He has no TV deal, no promotional outfit to move him further as a fighter, couldn't possibly command a £1.5m purse, yet thinks he is in a position to make demands.

If you told Rigo he was getting 40% of a purse vs Quigg do you think he'd turn it down? Of course not, because he'd be appreciative of the fact he couldn't possibly make that sort of money elsewhere.

Quigg may not sell out 18,000 seater arenas on their own, however he has the backing of the team who bring the money to the table, so concessions have to be made by Team Frampton.
