Id like to see G.G go to shane mc.
I certainly see shane been able to sort his conditioning and stop george gassing so easy.
I doubt g.g would want to bother with barry but i feel shane would have a lot to offer

this statement is true, groves decided to leave Adam and let the helper from camp coach him probably for less pay

I don't care how much experience he as kissing **** in the gym , if your not the maker of the boxer , then I my opinion when the fire gets hot and the fight isn't going to plan or the boxer needs to be controled only the maker will get his attentions

go back to booth or virgin hunter you need a tactition this is the way you box

Yep groves definitely needs a more tactical orientated coach, rather than a jack the lad 'make it up as you go along' leprechaun coach.

I don't get Groves' tactics recently. He throws ridiculous amounts of punches.

    Jack: Punches thrown - 506. Punches connected 210. (42 %)

    Groves: Punches thrown - 721 Punches connected 154 (21 %)

Knocking Froch down in that first round was the worst thing that happened to him.

This is why he gasses, because naturally he loads up on every shot so with that output you can imagine what it does to the gas tank.

A natural counter puncher throwing ridiculous amounts of shots, loading up on nearly all of them not being a problem:think

Groves looks like boxings version of Jimmy White now, close but no cigar.

Curtis Woodhouse on twitter has come up with the scenario of JR vs Groves, with Booth as the added "spice"

not a bad match up in fairness

Doesn't matter who he goes with at this point, he can't fix Grove's chin and will be vulnerable in every fight. He suffered a ridiculously hard KO against Froch. He was also knocked down and almost stopped against his last opponent. He needs to firstly have a good rest. Then he needs to step it down a level and fight lighter punchers to build himself up again.

Make no mistake, it's going to be a long road back and I just don't think he is the same fighter anymore. Those Froch defeats really took some years off him.

Booth is not going to have Eubank Jr, Lee and Groves all in the same gym. That is just not going to happen.

Groves should call it a day, its the best thing for him he is in danger of becoming a Audley Harrison.

Groves just doesn't have all the boxes ticked that you need to be a world champion.

    Power - 9

    Movement - 9

    Feet - 9

    Defence - 5

    Stamina - 6

    Tactics - 8

    Timing - 8

    Chin 6

In top trumps he wd do well all against the very best and that's just the reality of it.

he wd also never beat Froch , he could never last the home stretch, his power bar wd be gone every time!

I think hes taken his power down a notch to increase volume and hopefully last longer. But in doing that hes lost his stopping power.

The old George Groves wd have at least wobbled badu! badu walked through hs punches like they were nothing.

At world level Groves is no more than a maximum of 7 in any of the above categories.

And the best is one you missed I think , which is speed , but he isn't Dirrell like either.
