Well one thing you have to think about is the fact that this fight will be available to watch on NBC which is a non-cable channel in the US. After this fight he could gain a lot of new followers that haven't paid attention to Heavyweight boxing in awhile and therefore increase future sales better (if he wins and isn't completely boring).

Alabama kicks off at 3 p.m. CT.

It's normally an hour from Tuscaloosa (where Alabama is playing) to Birmingham. That's not the case on a football Saturday.

The game will end no sooner than 6 p.m., by the time you get to your car and get out of campus traffic and navigate the Interstate construction that has been ongoing, find a parking place and get to the arena, you'd be extremely luck to get seated by the first punch of Wilder's fight.

And Auburn is playing head-to-head against the fight, so fans going to their game are definitely not coming.

I think you'll see about 8,000, maybe a bit more, which would be considered a success on a football Saturday in the fall in Alabama.

WWE goes there regularly and blocks off the entire upper deck and usually doesn't sell out the remaining tickets.

With Alabama and Auburn playing tomorrow Wilder should have fought tonight instead.

Wilder is far more popular than the Crimson tide as well as Auburn

Yes this is correct. I'm kind of surprised, but there isn't much to do in Alabama besides watch Alabama football. And all this year's cotton has been picked so people have time on their hands.

After he fights Wawrzyk his popularity with go through the roof.
Wilder's fights might even challenge the Superbowl in the future.
