Garcia was a mixed bag at 140. He had competent but unspectacular showings vs Holt and Morales (in their first fight), dominant KO wins vs Khan and an old Morales in their second fight. He looked strong and in control vs Judah and then shined vs Matthysee. Arguello is above his optimum weight here but I think he KO's Garcia around the 10th round. Arguello when not pressed early was a slow starter, Garcia likes to slow the pace of the fight, back peddle and counter opponents with wide hooks. But its Garcia's lack of a jab and average defense that is the key. I think Garcia has some early success against Alexis but giving up ring space to Arguello and throwing wide shots is all wrong vs an ATG like Arguello. Alexis's jab could really take over the fight, once that happens his vaunted straight right will bust Danny up. Once those mid rounds adjustments happen I see Alexis controlling the outside with the 1-2 jab right combo backing Garcia up. Danny is physically strong and likes to bang the body and then clinch on the inside but Arguello showed vs Mancini and Ganigan wicked uppercuts to the mid section and can handle a way higher pace as he did vs Pryor even though he lost.
Arguello by decision, 8 round to 4. Arguello gives up early rounds to measure his man before his powerful jab and sledgehammer counter rights bust Garcia up. Garcia is most effective at mid range. Arguello would keep the fight on the outside and close strong as Garcia's stamina issues would feed into Arguello's renowned late round dominance. Arguello's flawless technique would see him take advantage of Garcia's very wide punches with Aguello's straighter, longer punches. Garcia's excellent beard that may be a better asset than his left hook sees him through to the end over 12 rounds, but over 15 rounds I wouldn't put money on hearing the judges scorecards.
