Can't be serious...both those guys absolutely hammer Lemieux. Dude is a second tier fighter(at best) like all of Triple G opponents. Cotto and Canelo are world class fighters. We all are waiting on Triple G to step up.
I'm a Lemiuex fan but he gets KO'd by both Canelo and Cotto. There is a huge level gap. Side note for you who think GGG is leagues above Cotto. Not only did Cotto beat Geale more impressively and faster than GGG did, take a look at these interesting Compubox http://www.***********.com/forums/view.php?pg=cotto-geale http://www.***********.com/forums/view.php?pg=golovkin-geale-compubox
No GGG beat Geale faster than Cotto and without him being weight drained and the additional illegal headbutt.
Exactly, Lemieux is only being seen as a good opponent because of how bad little G's resume truly is.
And Cotto stopped Geale at 1:38 of the 4th round that's 38 seconds longer.:deal Also Geale still had 13 seconds left in the 3rd against GGG so it actually 51 seconds
whoops was going off memory. Regardless very close times and Cotto gave out and took less punishment against Geale.
Without the aide of a brutal illegal headbutt and draining him to the point of somnolence at the weigh in the day before. Be honest for a second here Jeff are you really willing to say that that nasty head butt to his chin didn't have a lot to do with the stoppage?
I am fairly certain Lemieux would be too much for Cotto. Canelo on the other hand would be a good fight.
If Cotto-Alvarez is won in dominate fashion, the winner should be favored over the GGG-Lemieux winner regardless of who it is.
