For me, it's the Fighting Pride of Newbridge Wales, followed closely by The Lion

Those are the only two choices. Calzaghe was better at his weight than Lewis, but heavyweight is a more prestigious weight. I voted calzaghe but I'd be happy voting Lewis as well.

Calzaghe better record, but Lewis far better known among non boxing fans, and beat much better known fighters. It's a wash for me.

Hamed is a clear #3. Revisionism has made people overrate benn eubank because they had such great fights, but hamed was much better than any of the others.

    1) LL - arguably the greatest HW of all time.
    2) JC - close 2nd but head & shoulders above the rest.

Joe Cal is by far the best. Had to overcome severe and painful hand problems and still beat everyone.

How can it not be Lewis

He dominated two generations of Heavyweights from Holyfield to Klitschko and swiftly reversed any blemishes on his record.

Calzaghe was a great fighter but Supermiddle wasnt really a weight back then, at the time the other titles were held by Sven Ottke mostly with the WBC being passed Beyer and Lucas, not only that but the WBO wasnt really a World Title either, at the same time Michalczewski had his Light Heavy bauble and Nelson had his Cruiser bauble.

When did he injure his hands?

And regarding Cqlzaghe beating everybody, 95% of his resume is littered with bums.

I do feel Hatton, Hamed and Froch can be interchangeable though.

Joe C could have been but in the cold light of day he just doesn't have the resume. Some of the others beat better men than he did.

Why include Canadian and Irish boxers?
