Wilder will go into hiding when Povetkin's team wins the purse bid

Wilder believes he is the next great champ so he will have no problem going to Russia...

 

If the fight happens, will the people who've made countless threads about Wilder not wanting to fight, all made a new thread about how they're wrong?

 

The real problem is, Great Boxing Champions are not made in Russia.
They are made in the Boxing Mecca, The World Capital Of Boxing, The USA. :smoke

 

Why would he hide if there is huge bid, this all about money, he made 1.4 million for his last fight, it is massively in his favour in the bidding process for a large number, image 10 million plus from the Russians. All sounds good to me

 

I can see going overseas to fight Wlad who is the real champ, but defending your own title in Russia against Povetkin!!!??? GTFOOH, lmao.

I can't get over Huck Povetkin. Huck had him... Povetkins size advantage is the only reason he won.

 

Small chance of that. Wilder is signed with Haymon isn't he? And Haymon can afford to put on a show at a loss with his hedge fund backers for PBC.

 

I'm pretty certain Wilder himself would travel to Russia to pick up his huge payday (probably about 2 times of what he earned in his entire career till now), even if he's almost certain he'll lose the fight.
But if Haymon "advises" him not to, he has no choice but to vacate the belt.

 

He can always run away from the purse bid like a poosay ala Kovalev.

 

Common sense would dictate that Wilder would take this fight. It's his big chance to cash out, he'd make more against Povetkin than anyone else and he can no longer fight journeymen like Duhaupas for an easy payday.

But with Haymon you never know what he will do or what plans he has for Wilder. He made Quillin dump his title and not take a career high payday, he could do the same with Wilder and drop the WBC belt.

 

For the anticipated amount of money the Russians will put up for it, why the hell wouldn't he? Even if he did expect to lose?

Seriously, Wilder haters need to think things through. If he doesn't face Wlad or Povetkin, he's never going to make as much money in his entire career as he could in one night against either of them. Not even close actually. Nor will they get respect if they don't fight them. Who wouldn't do a fight for that amount of money, even if they lose? Especially when you're not going to lose respect?

Name one time that has ever happened in HW history, where a contender/champ on the rise has turned down the only two opportunities for great wealth and respect they will get in their career? You're making Wilder in being superhumanly cowardly, its just not realistic.

 

Wilder will not fight Povetkin.

He will avoid that fight.

He will fight another bum boy who is paid to take a dive.
