    I'd favour Ibeabuchi over Sasha but by a close margin, he's being ridiciolusly overrated. Scarier version of Tyson? Destroying both Klistschko's? :lol:

    Ibeabuchi did possess that explosive handspeed and power that was like Tyson. He also possessed a very powerful left jab that had a Foreman like impact and was a combination puncher where it was usual for him to unload 5 and 6 punch combinations with all of them having bad intentions.
    The only area I viewed Ike as lacking is in footwork. His footwork was pretty basic, but he cut off the ring very effectively.
    He could have also used more work in the defence department, but as in the Tua fight, Ike just didn't care and choose to fight Tua's fight by standing right in front of him and going toe to toe.
    In their whole careers, neither Klitscho has ever faced a talent like Ibeabuchi.
    Only Vitali did when he faced an old, out-of-shape and unmotivated Lennox Lewis.
    Lennox cut Vitali up, but Ike would have concussioned him.+

    Ike was available for Vitali to fight, but Vitali feasted on the likes of Donald, Bean and Norris instead.

    Vitali turned pro in 96, 3-4 years would have been ample time to get Ike into the ring.

    The Ibeabuchi from the Byrd fight wasn't throwing 120 punches a round. He was not even in fighting shape. He spared literally 5 rounds, and didn't come in to work with Cokes until like two weeks before the fight.

    Yeah you hit the nail on the head. Kirk was up & ready for the Ruiz fight. That was a travesty one of Joe Cortez worse ever.
    He decided Ruiz was going to win that fight regardless. What with Ruiz Oscar winning acting & Cortez bias Kirk never had a chance in that fight. Every time Kirk threw a body shot hard Ruiz cried Low Blow & Cortez warned. We watched that fight together a couple of times & really there were only two shots that were legitimately low the rest were "called " low.
    That fight took everything out of Kirk he'd worked so hard & they took it away from him. When he pulled out against Lennox I wondered if he really wasn't ready. Against Vitali he was just in there for the paycheck He was out of shape & overweight he was too far gone to even try
    I always felt so sorry for Curtis Cokes, a great trainer, he had 2 fighters both capable of becoming Heavyweight Champ . Every trainers dream & neither made it for very different reasons
    Kirk in the shape he was in for Ruiz would have given Klitschko all he wanted & more Ike would have4 blasted him out

    LOL! Exactly man. My thoughts exactly. This place is comedy sometimes.

    Wladimir boxed prime Byrds EARS OFF the first time they met. Dropped him bad twice. Didn't lose a round! We all know the scorecards v.s Vitali when Byrd was fortunate he had that shoulder tear. I guess it would be CRAZY to assume the Klitschko's would outbox Ibeabuchi and bust him up! Lol I still say Tua outboxed him and won that fight by a close margin. Tua... the guy that got schooled by Byrd :lol:

    I don't understand how going the distance with a fighter years later is better than knocking the guy out in 5 rounds, years prior?

    Klit****s honestly....nobody understands their way of thinking.

    I know besides Ike,Tua, don't forget Marcus brown and lemar johnson they got arrested and went behind bars before they turned 17 , otherwise Klits would have never won any title .

    More than anything, this is what hurt the Klit's ATG ratings having top contenders eliminated by outside factors and left them with fighting a career load of B levels and bums.
