This kid and his title wins are a joke. He is THE LAST person I'd mention in a conversation about fighters who won 4 belts.
His 4th is a joke. He is also THE FIRST person you mentioned in a conversation about fighters who won 4 belts.
Broner is a joke. He has no chin. I think thats why he has a beard now, he is hoping that it will protect his eggshell mandible.
While it is crazy to think A.Broner is the newest 4 division champ in boxing history, he should be given more credit the dude challenges himself. It's so many fighters who are hyped up and haven't done half of what Broner has, I'll probably never be a huge Broner fan but the kid has ***** if nothing else.
I can't remember a fighter who was given the opportunity to fight for a major belt months after being completely shutout in a fight (against a fighter who was also coming off a loss and a 1,5 year inactivity period), can you? This fight was specifically designed so that Broner could win a major belt. Not really a big accomplishment at all.
I don't think a loss at WW should have any effect on his JWW standing, its not like I said Broner is a great fighter. Just that he at least tries to back up the sh!t talking he does. Would be interested in seeing what comes next for him.
Stay at 140 and challenge the top fighters I'll be happy for him if he fights the top fighters at 140
Anybody with sense knows Maidana is a badass, who has cause a bad day for everybody he's fought outside of Alexandr and Mayweather II. Getting beaten 4 division above where you started isn't a black mark, like someone said Broner isn't as good as he thinks he is but is a lot better than given credit for.
Madaina was his #1 contender. He didnt "choose" him, he wanted to get him out the way. And there are weaker wins than Broners for multi weight titlists. Cotto comes to mind immediately. Broner beat.....Perez, DeMarco, Paulie, and Khabib to win his titles. Cotto beat Kelson Pinto, Quintana, Yuri Foreman(injured), and Martinez(injured) to win his 4 titles. Broner actually faced slightly stiffer comp in winning his 4 titles. Except, technically speaking, Martinez and Foreman were TRULY stiff in the legs when Cotto fought them.
