Shades of Kessler v Froch I?

Kessler/Bute recent ex-champs who took a beating or 2, who were looking like they might be finished, suddenly getting an unexpected world title opportunity thrown on their lap in their home court?

The crowd dragged Kessler through. If Degale doesn't get the KO, the same might happen to him.

 

DeGale UD for me. This is on normal Sky Sports apparently.

Bute has looked finished since taking a beating from Froch, also been very inactive since.

 

is this the same date as fury vs klit? because I can see this being added to the PPV package if so.

Think Degale wins a comfortablish UD, 117-111 type score.

 

If Degale sits off him and tries to pick his shots, then he'll make it a long night for himself as then he's playing into Bute's game.

He has to go after him and put it on Bute.

 

It is but BN have stated its on normal Sky- it's on Showtime in the US.

Bute is gun shy well passed his best when Froch made him a shadow of his former self, DeGale should win easy.

 

Good name but Bute is a shadow of the pre-Froch fighter.

I'd expect Degale to stop him, if its goes the distance then could be interesting with it being over there though.

 

Is it only me that see's this fight as a potential banana skin for James Degale? I know that Lucian Bute hasn't been that impressive since the fight against Carl Froch where he was absolutely destroyed!!

But this could be more about styles:

James Degale is an outstanding boxer and counterpuncher but at times he struggles against a fighter that sits back and counters him vs Groves and at times with Andre Dirrell.

Lucian Bute struggles with pressure fighters but is top class at boxing from range and countering other boxers.

They are both awkward southpaws and although I think James Degale will get the win I think people might be writing Lucian Bute off a bit too quick! The last thing i want to see is James Degale rushing forward and not using his skills just to try and Carl Froch, Bute.

 

Seems a bit weird going to Canada for a first title defence! obviously a good payday. I can see DeGale geting beat here.
