Andre Dirrell pulls out due to injury (vs Caparello) - both Andres at LHW?

Too bad. I was looking forward to this. Caparello looked very average vs Kovalev but who doesn't? He's otherwise a pretty good boxer.

 

Yep, more than likely true, except Dirrell did recently say if the fight is made, business is business. I hope they don't meet because it would be a sure loss for Dirrell.

 

I remember when Dirrell fought Abraham, Ward was his biggest cheerleader sitting ringside. Along with Haymon and Watson. I found that disgusting since he was part of the tournament and there would be a possibility he fought him.

 

Could it just be ACTING?

 

I know against Abe it was for damn sure. I fighter who gets knocked out cold doesn't put his hands up on his head. When Pacquiao and Williams got KTFO you didnt see their arms moving? The whole body should go limp when something like that happens if its legit.

 

No....they were asleep. Was remembering the superb melodramatic acting Direll did in the Abraham fight. Can't remember if he got an award for it. Probably acting gigs came in over the phone in bunches though.

 

He should of just slumped over and not moved like Jersey Joe Walcott. That would have been believable. Go back and watch it. It wasn't even a hard punch and it was on the chin not his head. He faked that. I'm 100% sure he did.

 

i agree 100%. it was beyond pathetic. have had no use for him since then. can't redeem yourself after that. acting would have been a better avenue for him rather than do that ****.

andre is always in a tough spot.....when hes on and doing his thing hes great...one of the most talented/gifted guys out there....but when hes doing things his way hes not a fan friendly fighter....t.he guy easily outclassed froch and couldnt get a decision....when he fought stevens the difference in class was so apparent but he was being booed out of the building and hbo wanted nothing to do with him after that.......as others noted...if he stayed boxing degale(and i think if he even just showed something in the last 3 rounds) he would have won....that was really disappointing because dirrell didnt do everything he could have to win that fight....not like froch where he did everything and just got screwed

The fight between Andre and Blake was going to be at SMW
