What an idiot ! Kovalev beat almost everybody with a pulse at his weight except Stevenson and Beterbiev who ducked him.

I really dont understand the hate that goes on in boxing among fans. Its like you either love a guy or hate on him like wtf:huh I like Kovalev,GGG,Ward and Stevensen and would like to see them all fight each other. I personally think Ward beats them all which is something he absolutely should be trying to do which would really give him a chance at true greatness. He runs through all those guys and he starts flirting with all time great status imo especially after cleaning out smw. man id love to see these guys all match up.

SOB Ward refused to fight Stevenson even after Stevenson called him out live on HBO, Stevenson said that he would fight Ward at 168 or 175..............When asked about fighting Kovalev, Ward said that Kovalev was too big for him. Ward will only fight in his home town, with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., Ward would not allow Bute to fight in his personal tournament either, that was when Bute was a good fighter......................now Ward will not fight anyone in the top ten..................

 

I don't get this "Kovalev is so much bigger than Ward" -stuff. They are exactly the same size of men. Ward is a natural light heavy, as is Kovalev.

 

Kovalev is a vicious nasty fighter in the ring. He will punish Ward. He will easily be the best fighter Ward has ever faced, and the hardest puncher. After seeing him dominate B Hop I can't see Ward being favored in this fight.

 

I agree. One can only hope that Ward winds Kovalev up like a spring during the build-up. Hopkins' longevity was based on his clever style and skill, not so much on speed and youth, and Kovalev figured him out like an open book. If Ward manages to pull out a win over Sergey I would be extremely surprised :shock: More likely Ward gets to try out the smelling salts and ice pack.

I have no doubt and I'm sure a billion percent Ward will avoid Krusher until he retires :hat

OP doesn't realize that Kovalev actually killed someone in the ring, there's no fkin way Ward goes in a ring with that kind of beast. And if he does he must sign that he's doing it on his own risk, if anything bad happens (and most likely will)

 

How about....

Both men are superb fighters who bring forth different qualities into a ring.

Regardless of who wins or who loses, both men will still remain superb fighters.

I hope they do end up meeting in the ring - and no matter who wins - I'll have the utmost respect for both of their efforts and achievements in the sport.

 

what will your excuse be when Ward will be lying on his back stuttering that Golovkin ducked him?
