Even if it flops Haymon walks away with millions. People think he gets large purses for his fighters because he loves them and like Sam Watson said "Al wants to see tha fightas get they money!" Al gets the percentage of that purse and so does Watson so the larger the better. :D

If Arum is so great than why did ODLH, Mayweather, Chavez, Rigo, Garcia run from him like he was the plague?
Why are all of his present top boxers leaving him to sign with Haymon?
Why does Haymon have over 150 of the sport's top boxers signed in his organization?

    You haters don't make sense.
Haymon is just getting started. The fact that he hasn't produced the same level of mega fights as Don King is just a reflection of today's talent not being as good as the Alis, Formans, Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield and Bowes. :yep

We'll just have to wait and see. I think their end game is to get a network to pay a huge rights fee like the UFC did with FOX. But at least for now, it seems like they haven't delivered much. One of their biggest attractions, Wilder, got poor ratings on NBC. Broner appears to have been a bust and they're still giving him millions.

I think they have given us a few good fights. Glowacki/Huck and Santa/Cruz Mares were pretty good. However, some fights like Alexander/Martinez and Lara/Zaveck just look terrible and won't do anything to interest anybody.

I think the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight really has dome some short-term damage. They certainly made a boatload of money, but most fans came away very dissatisfied and felt hoodwinked by the May 2 farce.

As to the point about Waddell and Reed, from what I've heard the PBC isn't really at the heart of their difficulties. I doubt the $300M means much to them.

It is a scheme to overpay the fighters with a large percentage of their purses going straight into his own pocket as their promoter. The fox is in the henhouse.

The network matchups have been mostly bogus squash matches. HBO and Showtime schedules are absolutely crippled. I think he's terrible for the sport and fans but I have to admire his sheer gall, hustle and business sense.

Boxing history shows us that a monopoly can't get done with the sweet science...belts do matter and the PBC brand goes against that..it's pretty much failed and it shows..Waddell and reed didn't understand how tight HBO are with the big powers of the banks and politics..they do now though

I didn't know it cost them that much money already, but it was clear for everyone with half a brain that they were losing huge amounts of money up till now.
When numbers of 2M+ viewers on free tv are the best they can come up with and pay their star fighters 1M+ for fighting the no 83 of their division, you can imagine that the balance ends up way in the red.
The only brilliance that Al has in this case is that he doesn't cough up the money himself and takes a big chunk of his fighter's purses.
