I'd like to see Turbo get in there with American hero Broner. Oh my giddy aunt Turbo would do some horrible things to that pillock.

So, anyone want to see Flanagan destroy Benavidez,or just have a war with Dejan Zlaticanin...

Or beatdown Derry Matthews (which is what will happen next...)

Magdaleno isn't worth much though.... he looked really bad in the latter rounds against Martinez, and that was at Super Featherweight so moving up to Lightweight I figured would be a bad idea.....I was right.

Is it too early to talk Trubo - Cambell?

That is an outstanding victory. He was dropped early but Magdaleno went the distance with Rocky Martinez (and, you could argue, got robbed).

Scorpion Perez (who blitzed Escalante) and Chelo Gonzalez can both hit fairly hard, and he defeated them both...though, again, Perez did put him down.

Stopping him for the first time is one hell of a result, and Flanagan isn't supposed to have a lick of power!

That was just an outclassing, pure and simple. Beautiful stuff from Turbo...and unlike Smith's, a victory (and performance) legitimately worthy of a title bout over somebody truly world class.

Magdaleno was about to go down a 4th time and was getting bombarded with nothing in return. He showed no wherewithal, couldn't figure out a way to reverse his fortunes by clinching, moving, countering - he was just a sitting duck. It wouldn't have been premature to stop it after the last KD.

I think that's the first I've seen Flanagan. He's extremely impressive. Really, really like his style of fighting.

Absolutely agree, that was a stunning performance like almost punch perfect. His footwork was sublime and the punch variety - THAT uppercut and his power. He stepped up to world level like someone who IS world class and has been for a long time. Now he's been facing some fairly god damn awful competition (before 2 years ago) but god damn, the question was could he step up, he was an unknown at this level. He didn't just step up, he elevated himself as someone who will be avoided. I've been watching him for a while and he keeps on improving each fight. :bbb
