I am curious about opinions in Satterfield

From all available video he looked like an athletically gifted fighter and he appears to have good skills, speed and we all know power.

What stopped him from reaching a title shot?

Satterfield is very enjoyable on film. He's in there to get a knockout. What stopped him for getting a title shot? He lost too many times, and was a dangerous risk for the champions of the times.

Satterfield was a good punch or two away from stopping Charles. If you have not seen their two round war, put it on your boxing bucket list.

Satterfield was a party animal,it took precedent over his career.

His level of opposition was ridiculous.

I can't remember how many ranked opponents he fought, but it is pretty impressive.

One thing that hurt him was his kill or be killed style of fighting. I'm sure it helped him win some fights too, however he would pouch himself out at times which lead to him being knocked out.

In addition to what mcvey and 2piece said, he also had a vulnerable chin, and was KO'd a number of times right when he was on the cusp of a title shot.
