Why is this fight on PPV? No one knows who Triple G or Limieux is, seriously shouldn't this just be a World Championship Boxing night? I get that HBO desperately wants to build a new star but this fight being billed as a PPV seems ridiculously forced. Golovkin-Lemieux is really no more PPV worthy than Mayweather-Berto but at least that fight had farewell and retirement associated with it. What numbers are HBO really expecting from this bout? PBC in my opinion is really where its at right now. Better fights and matchups and on network television. At this point the only PPV I will buy is if Mayweather goes for 50 but only against a Brook, Thurman, or for comedy purposes Amir Khan!
I saw Mayweather-Berto and didn't pay a dime. I'll see Lemieux - Golovkin and I won't pay a nickel. The only worthy Boxing PPV event this year was Mayweather-Pac.
GiGi is a side show attraction. Everyone knows who Bozo the clown is, but it takes a special person to purchase a Bozo The Clown PPV.
paying for PPV is NOT supporting the sport, it's supporting people/channels who decimated the sport and a handful lucky boxers. Watching it on regular TV, going to boxing shows is supporting the sport
HBO are trying to make it bigger than it is. Most people know that it's (probably) just another victim for Gennady.
Because Golovkin sold out in Calif., and MSG will be sold out................he is exciting. It should be a war while it lasts, but Golovkin will get an exciting knockout!!! Golovkin is fun to watch, exciting...............
Golovkin and Lemieux are exciting and hit hard. People actually WANT to watch that sort of thing. Why was Mayweather-Berto on PPV? Because Floyd counts on nut-huggers like you to finance his lifestyle. You people probably don't even watch his boring fights, but just pay for them so your idol can continue making millions off your stupid backs.
In my opinion PPV should be only for "superfights", Hagler-Leonard, Tyson-Spinks, Trinidad-De la hoya, Mayweather-Pac, its just a shame that now its used for virtually any big fight, times have changed.
