He most definitely is a brilliant man. I've been reading that he purposely creates mismatches on television instead of creating marquee matchups. I wish him the best though and I can't see why any boxing fan wouldn't want to see PBC succeed.

I want regular boxing on free tv in the US as much as the next guy, but the way Al "an advise you can't refuse" Haymon set it up it's doomed to fail. And even when it doesn't it would still mean a side competition where a lot of the very best are excluded because they don't fight under the Haymon banner.
Some guys seem to celebrate how he burns trough money overpaying certain fighters and then underpaying their opponents. That money has to come back somehow and everybody with some kinda intelligence can understand that with the current ratings it won't.
So at the end it might turn out to be pretty bad for boxing, because if this fails there's a chance that it takes at least a decade before someone else tries to bring back boxing to the mainstream.

 

Yes he creates them, gets an announcing crew to trick the viewers into thinking they're watching a competitive, fight and ends the night with corrupt judges closing the lid on some of the greatest robberies in recent memory! I have heard also manipulates the Compubox numbers to reflect the fighter who is supposed to win.

 

Very good. Yes this PBC is aimed at casual fans. He's not fooling any diehards unless their *****s.
