Roach Jr. came very near stopping Bustos midway into the sixth with a long unanswered flurry, but The Flash was able to survive and is rallying down the stretch, actually forcing Roach Jr. onto the ropes and being the aggressor in the final minute.

 

Roach slaps. If he works on his technique he will get some more knock outs.

UD for Lamont Roach Jr.

 

Roach is pretty smooth in there. Has a pretty tight defence, and nice punch selection. A little bit of pop, too, though his finishing needs work. Worth following, though.

 

Eh, maybe. Bustos is a natural super bantam and was taken out in under a minute his last time out, at super feather.

Roach is a good sized lightweight and was given a pretty much blank canvas with Bustos' poor defense. :think

I'm skeptical about him improving his KO rate even with improved technique. He just doesn't pack much of a punch IMO. That one point where it seemed he might secure a TKO it was only because he was overwhelming Bustos with activity.
