Here you go https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thDTe5Pv28U You can't see anything after 2:04 Sorry for the darkness, my phone must make things darker but I'll put a lamp there next time. For those of you that have successful first hand amateur or pro experience inside the ring leave comments.
You are trying to move the bag by leaning, no control over your backfoot. So losing awareness of what you are doing, just try putting the shots there stop forcing. Youre getting the habit of taking the head with the shot, its a no no, theres a few ways of stopping the problem.
at 0:44 why are u twisting both feet almost off the ground when throwing the left hook. looks very awkward. would not advise u to throw the left hook like that
I'm going to upload another video onto this thread which is round two. It has waaaay better lighting.
Why don't you try and explain them to me? That's the entire point of this thread. To have an unbiased outside perspective give me pointers on what I'm doing wrong. Not for me to guess what I'm doing wrong.
Every time you throw a punch, you give it away. For example if you're going to throw a jab, you feint and then immediately throw a jab. You have a tendency to do this almost every time you punch. It's important because if you get in there with an opponent, they will know when you're about to punch because you give it away every time. You're still in the learning stages, so work on your combinations without any movement, and then as you develop your skills, start working on your footwork, and occasionally feint, step, feint throw a punch, feint don't throw a punch, feint, throw a punch with the other hand, etc. Don't try to rush anything though. Also, sometimes, just work on an individual punch or combination. That's how you get rid of your habit of giving away your punches. For example, do 30 second rounds of just throwing the jab for example. 30 second rounds of just throwing the right hand. 30 second rounds of throwing the 1-2. Etc, etc. Also, there is an art to feinting as well, but that's for another thread.
Why ever you are doing it, I wouldnt do it. You cant get the proper torque if your back foot is spinning like that. Unless you are really lunging in throwing a leaping hook. But that is something best kept to the rjjs of this world and a highly situational punch, certainly not the 'stock' way to throw a hook.
your 1-2 looks a bit better than last time. but you need to work on shifting your weight when you punch, also you drop your right hand every time you throw a left
