I'm reminded why I don't come to this site that often when I start reading posters saying Pascal was even in the first fight. Pascal was lucky he got out of it without being seriously hurt. How can you take some of these posters seriously? Just absolute nonsense what many of them post.

Good, I hope they do fight again. I wonder if Pascal will defames all Russian people again saying they all lack heart like he did last time. Such poetic justice watching him stumble all over the ring while his daughter cries in the audience.

I will gladly watch that all over again.

Can't find anything on this yet, would rather see him fight Barrera or Gonzalez.
Pascal needs another good win before he gets a free title shot.

We all know why this fight was made. Kovalev wants to be active and he can't get anyone into the ring with him...other than Pascal, who is a bit crazy.

It was exciting, but I think Pascal will fold earlier than he did in the first fight.

I'd rather see another fighter Kovalev hasn't fought.

Pascal got his brains scrambled and a few nice counter punches in the first time around. Kovalev would be more destructive the second time around.

#Beastmode would knock both out, then SOG would humiliate all 3 in the same night

Put Ward vs Yunieski Gonzalez on the undercard (most decent tune up i can think of for ward) and i'll watch this.....So long as Kov and Ward are promised to fight next.

I'm guessing the PBC wall between Kovalev and fighting anybody else half decent?

Looking at the top guys, if Boxrec is to be believed this is scheduled for Jan 30th. I think they should try and get the winner of Braehmer v Oosthuizen (Nov 7th) for Kovalev instead and have Pascal rematch Gonzalez on the undercard.

I have a hard time believing its that hard for Kovalev to get opponents, Mekhontsev, Gvozdyk and Monaghan are Top Rank, Gonzalez, Vlasov and Bektemirov has appeared on HBO undercards before, Chilemba, Barrera and Lepikhin work for Duva, Shabranskyy is GB I believe, and I'm sure if they tried real hard they could lure Braehmer, Skoglund or Oosthuizen over.

I think its just HBO's insistence on having a "name" opponent to market to the masses, maybe if they'd put someone on TV before they become huge stars people would actually know who they are and they have more "names".

They did that with Y. Gonzales then offered him a Kovalev fight and he turned it down.
