Scott Harrison was with his dad you trumpet.. Ricky Burns held a belt was never champion of the world never the best in his division.. Ronnie Clark was the best kickboxer in the World he can genuinely say no one in his weight could beat him. Can Billy say that??

Billy did very well with Ricky Burns but I'm not sure he had that much to do with the rise of Scott Harrison. Scott's dad Peter was the person that guided Scott from amateur to World champion. Billy was there with them and he got a really good apprenticeship from Peter but from what i've heard that was all the input he had with Scott.

I wouldn't say Ronnie is World Champion material but can you say any of Billy's current stable is? Not everyone can be World Champion but I do believe Ronnie will pick up a title before he finishes his boxing career.

well Scott was peters fighter. I amnt going to disrespect the fighters . I said his current crop are still yet to prove, never said Ronnie was world level. But to be any level you have to take fights. Ronnie could have fought journeymen till his record was 20-0. Was no point not in his make up. Not kinda guy to rip off his fans and we are not type of people to blow smoke up his back side. We told him he needed step ups, Davie Mcallister will tell you all our mentality . Young Scott Allan seems to have the same. Some might not like him but he won't duck people and already had had 3 50/50 fights in about 5, that's 3 more than Billy's gym.

Hopefully see him on Sky soon then.

Should reserve my judgement until I see him live but Billy is talking sense based on his record.

Why did the guy give up Kickboxing if he was World Champion?

i hope he does David but I'd say Scottish title level may be his level
I know the input I had with Scott Harrison and don't in anyway need to justify myself, same as the **** I've read Ricky was a lucky world champ well give me a gym of luck world champs please

Its not about being lucky he was never the best in the World?? Yes he had a belt but there is around 8 "world champions" at each weight.. GGG is Champion of the World so is Wladimir Klitscho and Andre Ward. Deontay Wilder and James Degale are not..

Ronnie wanted to challenge himself in another contact sport and chose boxing, he had under 10 amateur bouts before turning pro. If you look through his record so far in 18 fights where he has basically been learning his trade he has drew with Ryan Walsh (Current British Champion) and also Maxi Hughes. He has lost 3 fights, 1 a split decision against Troy James in a British Title Eliminator, a close fight against Craig Evans (who was unlucky in a British Title fight at Lightweight) and on Friday against Anthony Cacace.

As Ronnie's brothers have said Ronnie wants his fans to watch real fights and doesn't want to fight Journeymen so that means that he will always be more likely to be in close decisions against him as he learns his trade. I remember growing up a certain fighter called Steve Robinson having a few losses at a lower level before becoming World Champion!! Records are for DJ's as they say

Wouldn't change any of the fights , I play a massive part in his ticket sales and never does anyone complain cause they know he takes real fights, even at journeyman level he would fight better fighters. Chris adaway who is no
Mug and at 21 could have took a different path but chose to do it hard way. Pudosovs who is Scottish champion and beat mcrory who u raved about. Also rogowski who was a hard man who best frsmpton as an amateur, Ronnie gave him his first stoppage, he gave dougie curran a proper camp, these although journeyman are of the higher spectrum with high risk low reward. The record doesn't matter and even he doesn't care, he can walk away from boxing and hold his head high and know he didn't back down from the politics of it all and gave everyone a fair crack at it. Everyone has their own career goals and he's fifulled his, everything else is a bonus.

Haha Davie deffo spent too much time in Dundee you have developed a sense of humour not usual for someone from up north.. Don't worry about Billy he has issues. Low self worth so needs to take it out on everyone else

Looking from the outside looking in Ronnie has fought a high calibre level of opponent for his lack of experience though he has only beat two people with winning records. Though he has came close to beating domestic level champions, so I would say he is fringe British class, certainly better than a journeyman but I would say just off British class. If he had a full career as a boxer I would agree with Billy he has hit his level, and he may have, but based on lack of experience I thing its best to hold judgement as he may improve further. Ryan Walsh I must add is overrated and lucky to hold a British title tbh.

His fighters are all undefeated as it's largely polish bus drivers they've been fighting.
