Seriously, I wanna know why no one gives as much praise to Loma as they do GGG. Yes he has 1 loss, but that is because he took on a very solid top Orlando Salido in only his second pro fight. I contend that if GGG had taken on say Arthur Abraham in his second pro fight, he would have an L on his record too.. I would go as far as to say that GGG hasn't faced anyone of Salido's caliber still.

Give it time. Mike Tyson has been singing the praises of Triple G since 2012. Roy Jones Jr. loves Lomo. The kid is a phenom and will barring injury be considered a great. Former greats like Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones, Mike Tyson, etc. will start singing his praises and everyday fans will take note. Lomo is a genius in the ring and his unique athleticism will be recognized. Be patient.

Lomachenko is a classy operator who will make a lot of noise at the pro game as long as he is active and fights regularly.
As for the Salido fight he would have won if the scoring had been fair.Hardly anyone had Salido ahead after 12 rounds, apart from those three blind judges.
Anyway! Even someone like Lomachenko needs some fights to adjust to the pro game.Pure madness to match him with someone like Salido in his second pro fight IMO.
I am totally confident that he will beat whoever is put in front of him but I am afraid that inactivity will kill his pro career. He needs more fights, even fights against fringe contender and tough journeymen are better than no fights at all.

It would have been unjust had Loma been given the nod that night.

Fighting at a less popular weight and isn't delivering KO's with excellent boxing displays. People love that sort of thing. Loma is a master tactician and I adore watching him fight. Wish he could get better matchups than he has been lately to be honest.

Fact of the matter being though for most he isn't as exciting and he's in a less viewed weight division. A shame really

no. the only reason loma lost was because salido weighed in at like 140 and low blowed him to death, that's just a bad comparison.

He had an appropriate amount of hype a year or so ago but Top Rank has been dreadful for most of their fighters in 2015. Vasyl, Crawford, Murata, Korobov they've taken the year off from doing their job and getting them fights. Vasyl has been inactive and fighting sub par competition and he isn't pleased about the level of opponents he has been receiving.

He's not as good as most were led to believe. His talent is obviously good and top 10 worthy but I see little in him that hints at an extraordinary boxer. Losing to a questionably skilled boxer like Salido should not happen to someone with his accolades. The fact that he chose such a relatively rough fight this early in his career is his fault and his problem alone and not a viable excuse by any means.

I believe he has room to improve and I think he's learning pretty fast but he needs good competition ASAP as he is not particularly young anymore. Others have achieved significantly more at his age. His amateur achievements are irrelevant now.

Loma is the goods but midget divisions dont get nearly as much attention as the higher divisions

    You mean Rigonduck?

the cuban chicken who is ducking him by pricing himself out of the fight, despite obviously not having better options than Loma anywhere in sight?

There is plenty of hype for him. When they finally meet, Rigo is gonna beat him, and it won't be as competitive as most people thought it would.

Activity level. Loma's only fought once so far this year, GGG has fought 3 times. If you're going to fight infrequently, the fights need to be bigger.

I prefer watching Golovking fight personally. More power and similar boxing ability. Loma footwork might be a bit better but for me he is still a bit overestimated. I want to see how he develops as a pro.
