They will say Floyd waited for PAC to get old but... Floyd is older. Hand injury during career. Freddie admitted to cherry picking him: " Floyd's legs are gone" Floyd looked worse against maidana than PAC did against Bradley or algieri. PAC looked the fresher and closer to prime fighter before the fight imo. Therefore if sag Floyd was further away from his best than pacquiao was.
Manny had been on the decline since the post-Margarito but Floyd seemed past it against Maidana too. So 2015 was probably a better time for Pac than 2013.
Pacquiao was more shot. He was way beyond that era where he just walked through pretty much everything. Not a subscriber to PED arguments, innocent until.... Both of them. Floyd has slowed but but hes very fresh for his age. He has another 3 or 4 years in him at the very top level if he wanted. My opinion is Floyd did wait for Manny to show signs he wasnt that monster anymore. Fight should of happened atleast 5 years ago. Not that i think the outcome would of been any different.
Whether they were equally shot or equally in their primes, the outcome would have been the same. Time to move on.
Floyd clearly. That's why he needed all the PEDs and the IV's to mask them. Once he got caught and couldn't roid himself to teeth anymore he had to pick someone closer to his true level for his last fight.
Doesn't matter, both made a rubbish fight of what should have been one of the defining fights of this era. Lost massive respect for both after that fight.
Neither were as we have seen during their pomp, which made for a less entertaining affair. That said the outcome would have been the same regardless. Both were equally shot.
Not sure, both didn't look great. I'd say Pacquiao looked like the more over the hill guy, he looked like a guy who just came to the ring to collect his paycheck, it was a sad sight almost.
was either in their prime? no. was either shot? no. I dont get how some people can say either cherry picked the other when both were top 10 pfp and #1 and #2 of the division
Neither were shot but both were past their prime. Pac more so, his style relies more on his physical attributes and the KO loss to Marquez was a clear indication he was no longer the same fighter. Mayweather didn't look great against Maidana but at least he didn't get KTFO like Pac did. The combination of Pac clearly looking more vulnerable and Mayweather's declining PPV numbers is what led to the fight eventually happening. Mayweather as always took a calculated risk and ensured circumstances were stacked in his favour, from catch weights, to coming in heavy, to pulling fighters like Hatton up in weight, he makes sure he has as many advantages as he can get.
Both looked past it. Neither are shot, but I'd say Pac has lost a couple more steps based off his last fight.
