Better MW Resume Trinidad or Cotton?

Yes Cheriifi, a MW who was stopped once before and Trinidad knocked him out faster than anyone in his career.

We have to note that during that time span, Trinidad fought Hopkins(ATG chin, never been stopped, not even by Kovalev) Wright(ATG JWM never been stopped) and an active Jones at LHW while Trinidad was a fat, shot old man.

 

Trinidad lost to ATG JMW Winky at 154 while Trinidad was a part time boxer.

On paper Cotto does have the better resume, but Joppy and Mayorga had more in them than Martinez and No Mas Geale.

 

We have to understand that after getting beat up by Hopkins and retiring, he only had 2 fights in 4 years, he wasn't the same fighter as before.. Like Donaire, Trinidad relied heavily on his power later on in his career. He transitioned from a boxer puncher to a one dimensional power puncher. Mayorga was tailor made for Trinidad's style, you're not gonna beat Trinidad in a straight up brawl, it's almost impossible. 8 months later he fought ATG JMW Winky Wright after he just finished toying with Mosley and the rest was history.












































We also have to note that the main reason why Trinidad got outclassed by Wright was due to the curse of the David Tua haircut. David Tua showed us against Lewis that the haircut was cursed, it completely depletes your power, otherwise Tua would of had glass jaw'd Lewis in the canvas before 5.
