David had every intention of boxing last night but it was decided minimise the risk of anything happening so he pulled out the show
I appreciate what you say about using the fight has a tune up but in fairness the sparring he's had and going to get will be tougher than fighting six rounds against a journeyman
When he beats Adamu he fights Blackridge for the commonwealth and there both fights David is confident of winning, Scotland hasn't had a super middle weight champ for years so fingers crossed David will do it

Kerr won all 4 rounds, were they close rounds then?

    Who was Benson fighting?

Hendersons opponent was 4 stone lighter than him, never a heavyweight in a million years.

Anyone looking at these shows objectively and not with blinkers on must see the quality on show for the money is dire.

i have to agree mate, not just that show but I've been to loads of shows over the last few years and if i didn't love boxing the way i do then i would not pay for them.

i was at josh taylors edinburgh bout a couple of weeks ago and if it wasn't for the cacace vs clark fight the rest of the show was total mismatches. when i saw the record of the guy josh taylor was boxing i though that would be a good test but in all honesty the guy was tiny and looked t least 3 weight divisions below.

I understand a degree of caution in the matchmaking at the beginning but that weight difference is a farce and a waste of time for all concerned.

Non TV shows do not have the finances to put on good cards.

When you see the cost of the tickets you can't help but feel ripped off.

Josh Taylor will be the future of scottish boxing imo and the only legitimate hope of a world champ from all current fighters ,personally would rather he was campaigning at 135 rather than 140 tho

Steve there no chance Josh does 135 he will struggle imo to stay at 140
boxers lossing weight isnt like a punter in the street, they need to be strong and healthy to fight 12 rounds, for josh to get to 135 hed be a shell in the ring

I had a look at his record on boxrec, he's fought heavies before and I've seen far far worse records/quality opponents than him based on boxrec.

I didn't realise there was four stone a difference though, its not Ross's fault though and I'm sure he would have liked a better opponent.

As far as I'm aware Gary will continue to box, maybe just needs a break after that fight to get right mentally and maybe sort out a new coach or training base?
