There was alot of rumors back in 2001 that morales was going to get the nod instead of Barerra. With that said in role reversals, could the prince prevail against El Terrible?

I think Hamed could have prevailed against anyone (including Barrera) if his head was in the right place.

If Morales keeps his head and boxes in a disciplined manner, he would win as his technical skills are better. If they get in an undisciplined shootout, Hamed would win as he thrives on that.

Morales. Don't forget that when Morales was the champ all the way down at 122 he paddled Floyd's ass something rotten in sparring and this was when Floyd was the champ up at 130 too. Barrera who was on the same level as Morales paddled Naz's ass. Levels to this.

    Morales/Barrera

    Floyd

    Naz. :deal

    Real talk.

Hamed s prime was v short maybe 2years or so at championship level.by the time he beat Kelly he had gone power mad looking for KO shots he had lost his speed and timing and was getting hit before this he was like Camacho with KO power this version of naz would have took someone very special at feather weight to beat maybe Nelson or Sanchez .would hit Morales any one he could hit would be in trouble.

Morales never seemed interested in Hamed and Hamed was always seemingly interested.
I was never a fan of Naz and was a big fan of Morales but wondered why Eric wasnt appearing interested in Hamed.
Its a tough one to call as Hamed seemed one of those fighters who when right could have beaten anyone in his weight division.
I slightly favour prime Hamed at FW

Hamed always respected Morales alot more than Barrera.

He always viewed Barerra as the soft touch out of the two.

I think Hamed would have beat Morales and probably trained alot harder for him.

According to Manny Steward alot of Hameds training for the Barrera fight consisted of him watching the Junior Jones ko over and over again.

Would be an interesting fight. I gotta go with Morales though. We gotta remember that this is the same guy that beat Pacquiao so we could also ask ourselves how Hamed would've done against him.

Comes on. Hamed was the greatest hypejob of the century.

As soon as he fights one top level fighter he gets embarrassed and immediately retires.

He was a complete and total fraud.

If by immediately you mean one fight and over a year later then yeah.

Morales has a chin of iron.

That will be an intangible that will make the difference.

This bout would look to go the distance, with Morales textbook technique offsetting Hamed's unorthodox style. Morales had power too. Iirc, McCollough said Morales hit him harder than Hamed did.
