If Canelo gets schooled by Cotto then Oscar will feed him to GGG.

I truly doubt this will happen. Canelo is too protected to just be thrown in there with GGG. And he chances are Cotto schooling him are slim to none so...

 

I don't know what happens to Canelo if he loses

Does he cut the bull and lose the pound and go back to 154

Does he knock back the level of comp and develop into a 160lber in a progression of lower level build up fights

His career could be in big trouble if he loses to Cotto, it reminds me of later stage Gatti couldn't make 140 and wasn't able to compete at 147.

I mean he's fought Trout Floyd Lara and now Cotto. Plus if he wins and GGG agrees to 155 he'd fight GGG. That's a good list of opponents minus making GGG cut

Hm you might be right. But if it goes to decision they really might just do rematches and make a trilogy out of this match up. But I actually agree with your POV, Oscar would consider making the Canelo GGG is Canelo was to lose against Cotto because defeating GGG would actually give him some reputation again

 

I don't understand how people are so certain Canelo is gonna smash Cotto. Cotto schooling him is very possible in my wiev as well.

Oscar will protect his cash-cow in the exact same manner Arum protects Manny.

The only fights Canelo will be in are ones in which he can and should win or he has nothing to lose (like Floyd).
