Only in boxing would this sort of officiating not be a national scandal. It attracts a few negative comments from the pundits then they move on. It is an utter disgrace! These dodgy decisions always go in favour of the promoter's fighters- a referee should be there to be impartial not ensure the home fighter has every advantage. Sickening.

Basically if you're 'hurt' in the ring, the chances are the ref will stop the fight. 1. You don't get a chance to get grab hold and buy some time. 2. You don't get the opportunity to 'take a knee' for an 8 count. Being able to get through a rough spell when you're hurt is part of the sport!
