Any truth to Sims not being AJs trainer? Whyte said Rob McCracken is AJs real trainer.

 

Just from what I see of him working the corner in fights I have to say Sims doesnt exactly fill me with confidence in him as a trainer.

He comes across as dull, dim, uninspiring and just all-round lacking to be honest.....

Under what definition of 'trainer' could anyone other than Sims be it? :?

Rob Mcracken's an excellent trainer but if he's AJ's trainer, why isn't it public knowledge? And why isn't he in his corner?

 

Mcraken is AJ's trainer from what I heard if you notice he is very close to the corner in every AJ fight, apparently something to do with the GB set up tho he was frochs trainer ?? A lot of footage of AJ is in the GB gym in Sheffield

to be fair to Tony, Ricky admitted he was being told to do something by Tony and never, so if you don't listen and perform very poorly the boxer should get the blame! It was an issue myself and Ricky also had and it looks like its still the case.

 

It's a pain to see Ricky is not boxing to his strengths under Sims,there's too much in fighting going on,not enough what hes good at using his reach advantage better foot movement. maybe the weight is an issue after all,p.s would like to see him based back in Scotland with Billy Nelson

 

Hearn and Simms are mates and their birds run a business together...that's why Burns etc get steered towards Simms who is a nothing trainer who has achieved very little.
Simms even blagged his way into the Froch corner - it's a joke.

 

didn't you read billys post? ricky wasn't listening to tony sims and when he was with billy it was a problem with them too. so what point would there be in him returning to billy?

 

It seems that Ricky thinks he knows best.. I agree with Sims being a terrible trainer not seen anything good from him and his advice isn't great.. Ricky has all the shots it's his tactics that are terrible. He turns away from punches now like he doesn't want hit. Ricky needs a trainer that will be very hard on him. Softly Softly doesn't work with him

 

Definitely heard that McCracken is AJs trainer. Obviously a conflict of interest is McCracken trains them in the pros after working with them in the amateurs.
