At the end of the day I was making a point about I don't feel that any of the top promoters in the UK and worldwide would pay off refs and or judges, I don't see how that is solely defending Hearn? Does that make me an FW fanboy, Bob Arum fanboy too? You had nothing to say on this thread so you just thought you was going to unnecessarily attempt to attack me for no reason at all.

 

Come on...dodd was up on cards.....that would of been the end of cardle. ....and getting beat by a journeyman. ...eddie won't allow it

 

Also just looked on boxrec... and it basically says cardle was cut all over head ans face. ..but dodd has 1 cut......FIXED

 

I'm not arguing that at all, I genuinely don't believe any of the top promoters now will actually fix fights, I might be wrong in saying that but its just my opinion. However if you do look into that fight Dodd was up on one card by 4 and another by 1, Cardle was up on the other I believe, he would have actually won on points with the knockdown anyway, but yes as much as the stoppage was ridiculous, the referee should be the one getting criticism not the other fighter, promoter or whatever.

 

Hearn is clearly as dodgy as **** but the referee's in this country are a complete joke.

I think Fast Car would pull a dodgy move for the likes of Brook or Froch but wouldn't take the risk on somebody like Cardle.

 

I can jjst imagine eddie saying. . If dodd is up pull thr plug..I.e the knockdown was a perfect time. ..he didn't even give hom a standing count. ....which is why I think eddie will havr had a word with the ref....dodds not a matchroom fighter.....the same as the states...garcia vs herrera....robbery......

Fair point, but surely a rematch of a shock defeat could sell just as well?

Anyone know if Hearn has signed up Dodd, would have thought with the ticket numbers he supposedly shifts Eddie would fancy him signed up, at the least could be his scouse Tommy Coyle

 

I know and I understand what you are saying regarding the fight as it was a very poor stoppage and I do feel for Dodd as he at very least deserved to get the count, but Hearn went and guaranteed a rematch straight away, something that they don't do when they know the other fighter was robbed, use your example of Garcia vs Herrera, no rematch was made because they knew that Garcia was beaten that night. I have to say I find strange that in all of this its the promoter being criticised more than the ref as the ref was the one who made the error, nevertheless I look forward to the rematch as despite the poor referee it was a seriously good fight.

 

I agree, too many conspiracy theories in boxing, as much as Cardle has a better chance of going far in boxing, Dodd will make him more money. Cardle in my opinion can make euro level possibly but no further, Dodd will always be a good domestic fighter who sells a lot of tickets, kind of fighter that Eddie loves.

Only just watches the fight, disgusting stoppage there was hardly any time left and cardle was given a chance when he was hurt in round ten.

Think Cardle wins rematch easily though
