I don't think 99.9% of the people was serious when they say Ronda can beat Mayweather or GGG. It's just marketing. There are a few delusional fans though...and they are delusional.

Did anyone see the smile on Dana's face? I wasn't a big Rousey fan but I do respect what she has done in the Octagon, but she didn't look smooth. She didn't look right. She wasn't cutting off the ring assuming that she knew how to since she never had to do it. She didn't try many times other than 3x to take Holly to the ground.

Anyway, Mayweather still champ. hahaha

 

MMA will be better off without this absolutely ridiculous ronda sideshow. Glad it's ended. Hopefully MMA can get back on track after being turned into a laughing stock by noncompetitive rr and co fights and dishonest marketing

 

I am happy with the result. Holm seems like a really nice person.

That being said, the fight was almost won by Ronda in that first when she had that armbar coming.


MMA and boxing are two different sports. James Toney looked ridiculous in MMA. The credits don't go to boxers in general but to Holm in particular who showed she is a great athlete by winning in a different sport. She even threw down Rousey at some point!

 

let's not forget that Holm is also a southpaw. Just a nasty combination. Her stance gave her even more distance between her and Rousy. Combine that with her footwork, she gave Rousy almost 0 chance of getting close to her to take her down.

Plus HOLM is strong as f#ck with insane cardio. She beat RR in the first and KO'd her cold in the second. HH is just superior to RR in MMA.

 

Yes, but Braekhus vs. Holm was kind of a natural fight to make after Holm avenged that loss.

Braekhus established herself as #1 and Holm walked away instead of trying to challenge the claim. Think that Braekhus gave her a career-high payday offer and Holm decided not to take it.
