You could make a case for Sonny Liston and Wlad Klitschko.

You could make a case for them being in the same ballpark, and even stretch it to say their jabs were right on par, but I don't think a strong case is there for either having a better jab than Holmes. :think

...and even calling theirs as good is an uphill climb going against the overwhelming majority of boxing zeitgeist opinion.

That's pretty much what I meant.

If you can make a case for them being on par, then by (slight) extension, one might rank the three of them somewhat arbitrarily.

    Not so sure about that.

There's not a lot to separate the three dudes in question in the Jab department.

Top5. Below Ali and Louis. Near Lewis, Wlad and Foreman. Above Marciano and Frazier.

Top 3 or 4 .the difference between holmes and a certain other HW is that when holmes was dropped by shavers and snipes he got up and won the fight .iron not China.

Holmes lands at that coveted #3 spot. If Wlad goes undefeated for another 5 years he mmmmmight supplant Holmes at #3. Those bludgeoning losses, and a weak resume, are what keep Wlad from gaining momentum in the Top 10.

    Accomplishments:
    1 - Louis
    2 - Ali
    3 - Holmes
    4 - Johnson
    5 - Marciano
    6 - Tyson
    7 - Lewis
    8 - Foreman
    9 - Dempsey
    10 - Frazier
    11 - Holyfield
    12 - Liston
13 - Wlad sits here for now.

    Head to Head:
    1 - Tyson
    2 - Ali
    3 - Holmes
    4 - Louis
    5 - Liston
    6 - Bowe
    7 - Foreman
    8 - Lewis
    9 - Vitali
    10 - Wlad
